Chris was a great host and allowed us to feel very comfortable. The towels and bed linen were fabulous and everything was shiny and new. The Cottage is lovely and cosy and a great base to come back to after a day at the beach. Chris even provided a wetsuit wash!

This house was listed with panoramic views. The only view is from the front of the house. The side and back/garden is overlooked by ex council houses and a private housing estate. We feel this house has been mis sold and we have been misled by the photographs. This did not feel like a holiday home it is more like a house with foot traffic outside the front walking to the estate and Tesco's creating noise during the day and through to the night. Prior to arrival and greeting the communication was good but since trying to resolve our complaint there has been no communication.

Response from Christopher:
I'm sorry the weather was so atrocious this obviously effects the look of our area of outstanding natural beauty. North Devon has such wonderful beaches and truly stunning scenery. The cost of taking a break in Braunton is considerably less than booking a cottage directly on beach. We have put tremendous effort into providing outstanding value for money.

Top of the pops weekend in beautiful Devon! Great spot to explore Woolacombe / ilfracombe / Saunton sands and Barnstaple. House was super cozy and clean with a lovely garden and amazing views over the dunes and a sweet little walk right across the road. Own parking too and couple of nice pubs in walking distance. Go! Cheers Chris & Anna x

Great place to stay - the house is well positioned, spacious and very comfortable - it was a home away from home for the weekend!

Chris and Janet have been married for twenty-five years.

They moved to North Devon twenty years ago when Chris was offered a job working at RMB Chivenor with the Search and Rescue Helicopter providing coastguard rescue. Unfortunately the rather old (Seaking) SAR flight was disbanded in 2015 (privatisation). Chris then took early retirement and is now very contented with the slow pace of life and forgoing the daily hassle of work sleep repeat.

We do love living in this scenic area and keep ourselves busy with a few hobbies including surfing, cycling and photography. Most probably the bulk of our spare time is spent walking/cycling around the coastline.

Chris also worked as a photographer travelling around the world photographing the top surfing professionals.

This year has seen the development of establishing our home as a suitable location for summer letting. We have put a lots of effort into ensuring we have a welcoming environment with very good facilities. It's somewhere that we feel excited about sharing.

Chris & Janet purchase this house in 1997(
