Susan was an amazing host -- very communicative and helpful as we were all traveling from out of state. Her place is impeccably clean and a great location in Manchester - very close to everything. The only issue was that we did not realize the two bedrooms upstairs do not have doors and are in fact in a very open layout, which does not lend itself to much privacy.

May, thank you for the compliments. I'm so sorry the house layout didn't work for your group. Thanks for giving us a try.

If you're staying in the Manchester area and the Toll House is available - book it! Communication leading up to and during the stay was great and the house exceeded expectations - very cute, great size, perfect location to the shops, etc... and a great option for those of you traveling with dogs. We had coffee on the back patio both mornings and was a great way to start each day!

Thanks Tim! I'm sorry I never got to see your friend's dog. I would have enjoyed meeting a doggie that big. Next time?

We genuinely loved our short stay at Susan's awesome space. The place is meticulously designed, with so much thought and care. It's very unique, in the old "Depot" part of the town, and walkable to restaurants, stores, etc. Susan was a great host and highly responsive. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer--we'd definitely come back again!

If you are looking for a cozy apartment with mountain views from the windows and walking distance to bars, restaurants and shopping then this is the right place. We stayed for two nights with one other couple, both of us had babies. It had plenty of room downstairs for everyone to hang out and a nice sized patio for grilling at night. If someone went out in the car the other folks could walk about town and shop/eat/drink with ease. Walking distance to the house is Al Ducci's and another little restaurant tucked inside a colorful furniture shop. Aside from the loveliness of Manchester it was about a 10 minute drive to Dorset where we spent a Saturday afternoon checking out the quarry, drinking at Barrow House and picking up morning treats from Dorset Rising. Susan is an excellent host, will answer any questions quickly, goes above and beyond to help out the guest in any way she can. Her place has a hip retro/ski lodge vibe that includes very comfortable beds. Would be great for a family of four, or couples who want to explore Manchester for a weekend retreat.

My wife and I loved Susan's place! It was clean, comfortable and well-appointed. It had everything we could have needed for our 3 night stay. It's within walking distance of grocery, shopping and a couple of coffee places. Plus, there is an Italian deli (Al Ducci's) that you can see from the couch that is outstanding! Susan was very attentive, making sure that we had what we needed. It is a terrific spot, one we hope to visit again soon.

My husband and I moved to Vermont after spending a life time in the mid-west. We chose VT for the laid-back life style, variety of outdoor activities and the gorgeous scenery. We live in paradise!
