Berenice and her husband, Peter, are the most hospitable and accommodating hosts I've ever encountered through Airbnb. Upon arrival, check-in was a breeze, received help with luggage, and were treated to complimentary tea and cake in the Tea Garden - a perfect start to our weekend in Kaapsehoop. The garden is lush with beautiful flowers, tranquil and smells amazing. The Tea Garden is open usually from 11am-4pm. They have delicious homemade sweets such as cakes, cookies, and of course tea\coffee. Berenice can also provide lunch if given notice. The night before our hike we asked about lunch to go and she prepared two cute lunch boxes for us. It was perfect for the hike. At breakfast I asked if they had green tea, which they didn't, and the next day they picked some up. They really do go out of their way to make sure you have an enjoyable stay and to answer any questions you have about the area. Our room was located in the back of the house. It's accessed by french doors which lead to a veranda looking out to the garden. The room is cozy and quaint. Bed was just right, not too soft or worn and not too hard. There is no shower but there is a nice-sized tub. I should also mention the place is super kid-friendly. They have a pram, high chair and a portable crib available if needed. We're traveling with our 4-month old and when we arrived they already had the crib and everything set up for our us. I'm so glad we stayed here while exploring the area and the little village. Berenice and Peter really played a huge part it making a terrific weekend. We hope to return soon.

My greatest joy in life is to make guests feel welcome and at home in our mountain retreat. Food plays an important part of our daily life and what we serve is handmade with much love and passion. My B&B is a place to rest or a spring board to more energetic activities. " I can breath again", is what we often hear from our guests whilst they relax in our B&B. Excellence of heart in our service to our guests, combined with the passion we have for our village and its delights form part of your experience.
