Great check-in experience

Imagine staying in a Civil War apartment back in 1865, watching troops pass on their way to Gettysburg? This spacious, six-room, second-floor apartment is in a home built in 1860, with a beautiful view of downtown Thurmont and the Catoctin Mountains and the National and State Parks. Next to the apartment is a one-mile walking path that takes you to Thurmont's shopping areas. Only 20-minutes from Gettysburg, and the Shrine of Elizabeth Ann Seton. (PS There is even indoor plumbing.) Enjoy.

This was our first Airbnb stay and we enjoyed the experience. Rosemary's place is a very old house in a safe small town. It needs some repair but was clean and comfortable and well stocked for a couple nights stay. One bedroom is quiet and the other faces Main Street, which was a…

Perfect for a quick getaway. This rental had everything we needed, and the host was extremely friendly and quick in responding. Check-in was super easy. The rental was very clean and was in a good location. Definitely would recommend.

We stayed at Rosemary's place for a weekend of hiking at Catoctin Park/Cunningham Falls - the location could not have been better, just a super short drive away! Everything we needed readily available (pans to cook with, extra soap in the bathroom). Not the world's fanciest Airbn…

The BnB is perfect for staying a few nights and relaxing while venturing out in the surrounding areas. I had some trouble figuring out the shower but after a while I got it. (Just pull down on the bottom tub faucet until it locks into place)

Rosemary’s place is a wonderful place to stay. A very down to earth place at the foot of the Catoctin Mountains in the heart of history.

Response from Rosemary:
Hi, Jeff. Thanks for visiting us. The house was built in 1850, and the residents at that time watched out the window as the troops marched in front of the house on their way to Gettysburg. The kitchen and bath were added in 1950 using the back porch. Some of the older residents told me how they sat in the front room listening to FDR's "Fireside Chats." You can feel the spirits of hundreds of past residents. I love this place.

Older home with lots of room. There's a catch all room where you can workout.

Response from Rosemary:
Hi, Arthurine. I would really appreciate why we only received three-stars for accuracy. What did you find that wasn't accurate in our description. I would like to know so it can be improved. Thanks. Rosemary and Ximena.
