Our sincere apologies Mariann for the two wet towels in the washing machine; an oversight by the cleaner.
In relation to the balance of your comments:
•the house was professionally cleaned prior to your arrival;
•the condiments, herbs, baking supplies, gravies, etc., stocked in the pantry were for your convenience - not "old food";
•no tap-ware was found to be leaking when the house was inspected after you checked out;
•there is no air conditioning in the house, evident from the listing description under 'Amenities'; and
•you stated there were “no screens”- yet there are no less than 17 on windows and doors.
In respect to the apparent lack of communication, you failed to send us any messages or emails via Airbnb and we have no record of any missed calls from you. Further, as we asked a family friend to drop by and touch base with you during your stay, as we do with all guests (where possible), she reported that your family was having "a lovely stay" and not a single issue was raised.
We aim to ensure that each and every one of our guests has a pleasurable and comfortable experience whilst enjoying our home and we welcome any suggestions that further enhance this goal. However, in light of the above Mariann, we find your review somewhat disingenuous.
