This location was perfect for the six of us (1 couple, 4 singles). The apartment is quite spacious with two restrooms with one in the master bedroom. 3 bedrooms with double beds and then two sofa beds which were extremely comfortable. The apartment had many good amenities including soap, shampoo and laundry soap though some of this may have been left over from prior guests. Wifi worked well and there was even a video game system available for the boys when they wanted to stay up late one night. It is important to stay quiet at night as this is a residential building and you may hear noises from time to time. The outside shutters are amazing and keep the rooms completely pitch black. The hosts are amazing as they were completely flexible with our late arrival due to an unexpected car break in when we were in Sintra. We also had difficulty with the hot water briefly, but they were immediately responsive and willing to send a repair man out immediately. It was also lovely that they greeted us with a glass of port and pound cake. The on site parking was garaged and great, even for our big nine person van. The metro station is right outside and it is extremely easy to access Porto. We hope to stay at their place next time we are in the area!

We had a very nice stay at Miguel and Roseiris Place. The flat is big and nice to stay in. The area is a quiet place with all you need in walkdistance. To reach Oporto you just need a to walk for 15 minutes, but always a nice walk. Its easy to go by metro from the airport, and the flat is just across the street from the metro - when arriving from the airport - cross the street, and walk for about 150 steps down. Nice and spacy. Very clean. Remember earplugs if you have sensitive ears, you can sometimes hear the upstairs and downstairs. Roseiris always made sure that we could ask if we needed anything, very nice hosts. We will NOT hesitate to use flats from Roseiris and Miguel again.

Four friends from three continents met in Vila Nova de Gaia toward the end of our week nine day exploration of Portugal. We were in good communication with Miguel throughout the experience and were met by his lovely wife, Rosiris and young son on the day we were to check to the apartment. The apartment is larger and lovelier than the photos suggest. Upon our arrival we were surprised to find some tasty beverages and an entire platter filled with freshly picked plums left for us to enjoy. Miguel had sent me an entire list of highlights not to miss when visiting Porto. We took those suggestions, and on foot, we covered the bridges, Port wine cellars, cafes, museums and restaurants. Our only regret is not staying for a longer visit. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you might need to prepare your meals. There is a garage spot for your vehicle (very helpful for us) and there is a metro station right across the street. The location of the apartment is on the same side of the Douro as the Port wine cellars. All within walking distance. Portugal is full of wonderful, helpful people, including Miguel and Rosiris. We felt very welcome and we would definitely stay in this beautiful apartment again. Thank you again for your hospitality. We hope to see you again soon.

We had a wonderful experience in this cool, funky, well-designed and superbly located apartment. Our hosts, Miguel and his wife Rosiris, are just lovely people and it was a real pleasure to meet them! They have us great tips on what to see in Porto and even left us some goodies to eat and drink. We loved Porto and the fact that from the apartment, you can walk everywhere. A really top stay which we would highly recommend!

Nice apartment & perfect location! The building is easy to reach and find. The apartment has everything you need being away from home and anything to have a comfortable stay. We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable apartment, quite cozy even for 8 persons. But for more than six people staying here could be more comfortable if sofa beds in the living room we could find more adjustable. Also we suggest thinking about proper size pots & pans for more than 5 adults staying here! But other things, beds, kitchen and bathroom options are perfect and clean. We want to stress again that it was really good located and easy to get by metro or even walking if you are ready to cross the bridge Ponte D.Luis as we did it. The apartment was lovely and had beautiful view to the famous bridge, as well as excellent night panorama sightseeing with lights and riverside. We would certainly recommend this apartment to others! Thank again Migel & Rosiris and we wish !

This apartment was perfect for us. The accommodation is just as pictured, clean and roomy. Not centrally located in the tourist district but easy transport outside the front door just minutes away from the beating heart of old Porto. Quiet with fresh breezes from both sides. Great elevated views of the Douro with lifts for easy access for our elderly parents. The washing machine with good drying was a plus after being on the road for 2 weeks. We dined in the immediate area with locals who were friendly and the prices were cheap to us. Look to the side streets for good local eateries and the seafood BBQ's at Matsosinhos were a treat ( Easy to get to on the Metro ). We loved living among the locals in this beautiful city and would book the apartment again in heartbeat.
