Welcome to Fasbourn Glamping. We have three bell tents, pitched under the huge Suffolk skies on a 26 acre farmstead. Each tent sleeps two adults in a king size bed and 2-3 children stay for free on roll-out mattresses. Adjacent to Fasbourn Hall B&B, you can enjoy the same beautiful setting and facilities but a little closer to nature.

Easy to reach via the A14 and Stowmarket rail station, we are the ideal location for a relaxing holiday with the attractions of East Anglia a short journey away.

The space

Lying on the edge of the village of Buxhall down a no through road, Fasbourn offers something for all; peaceful surroundings with a network of footpaths and quiet lanes for walks and bike rides, an abundance of birds and wildlife to watch and the beautiful towns and villages of Suffolk waiting to be explored.

Fasbourn Hall dates back to the fifteenth century and three generations of the Fisher family have made it their home since 2010. The house has been lovingly restored and is now a luxury B&B.

The 26 acres surrounding the campsite perfect for games and adventures for children who stay free on roll-up beds in the tents.

Lucy looks after the bell tents, sharing her lifelong love of life under canvas and the simple things in life with all those who stay. She reckons that all the best stories heard at family gatherings stem from camping trips and hopes that Fasbourn can play a small part in forming great memories for you and your loved ones.

Guest access

The campsite is an enclosed one acre field with three bell tents called Oak, Skylark and Conker, our communal camp kitchen, planters full of salads and herbs, pizza oven and campfire circle. Each tent is a 5m wide, traditional bell tent, made in England using proper canvas.

All 3 tents can be booked separately on Airbnb.

Spacious, light and furnished with your comfort in mind, each tent features a king size bed with bedlinen and blankets, rugs, chairs, lights and optional rollout beds for children only. There is a socket hidden away to charge electrical devices. Wood burning stoves will provide additional warmth inside with seating for all on the deck outside in addition to a BBQ and a single gas burner for that 'morning brew' and, of course, the essential tin of homemade cake or biscuits to enjoy as you settle in.

Each tent has its own bathroom in the converted cart lodge, just a couple of minutes walk across the field so not quite an ensuite but as close as you can get in a field. Featuring flushing loos, hot showers and space to store your wash bags and complimentary towels, there is also a utility area for all with washing-up facilities, a washing machine and clothes line.

The camp kitchen is in the corner of the camping field and has all you need – and more. A gas camping stove and a Baby Belling stove are available for cooking plus storage boxes, seating and a fridge to share with your fellow campers. All pans, utensils, crockery, cutlery and glasses are provided. There is a tap with drinking water behind the kitchen and each bell tent.

The campfire is a place for all so please be considerate and share those marshmallows!

We are particularly proud of the wonderful food and drink produced in Suffolk and we have put together an honesty shop for all your essential provisions (still looking for a Suffolk marshmallow maker!). You can preorder a breakfast hamper filled with tasty local bacon, sausages, apple juice, bread, tomatoes, mushrooms and fresh eggs. We also have a BBQ pack with locally reared Aberdeen Angus beef burgers and other goodies.

We had a fantastic 2 night stay in the bell tent. Lucy was a great host, there was all the facilities you would need. Lovely toilet facilities to yourself, with a great shower! Communal kitchen tent with everything you could imagine in there! Tent was fab! My 2 sons loved it, really spacious and cosy and the bed very comfortable! Such a lovely setting and we were lucky enough to have good weather which made the whole stay brilliant! We will definitely be back!

As a group of three couples we booked the entire three bell tents as a weekend glamping getaway. We had such a wonderful time - each tent is well furnished with proper very comfy beds and electricity - great for phone charging! They also come with their own outdoor table, gas hob, BBQ and indoor stove so if you want you can cook everything you need at your own tent. The bell tents are set in a spacious field overlooking a herd of lovely sheep in the adjacent field. In one corner is a fire pit which we used both nights and in the other there is a kitchen tent with fridge etc and everything you could ever need for cooking a meal. We didn't use the pizza oven but we did use the BBQs. Lucy was really helpful and sweet and really has thought of everything - the honesty shop is useful - we bought extra firewood and some delicious local honey. Also the private bathrooms are a fantastic Luxury addition - no queuing for the shower! The site is easy to find and set in the beautiful grounds of the main house. Locally there is a pub just 20 minute walk away and we also did a fab 10 mile circular walk to Drinkstone and back via Rattlesden where we had a drink in the local pub - the five bells. Nearby is Lavenham - a Medieval town which is like stepping back in time - well worth a visit! All in all I cannot recommend Fasbourn Glamping enough!
