This is a beautiful home in a small village in the Minervois wine region. It's been restored and renovated with all the modern conveniences, and is stocked with all the kitchen equipment you could ever need. I wish my kitchen at home was this nice! We only used the one bedroom, overlooking the garden, which had a very comfortable queen size bed with high quality linens. The second bedroom seemed equally nice. Upstairs bathroom is large and there is a small powder room downstairs. Loved spending time in the small, grassy yard, including a hammock! There are also 2 mountain bikes (VTT) which we used to ride along the Canal du Midi and through vineyards one day. In town, there is a bakery, corner store, and 2 restaurants, all within a few minutes walk. We highly recommend the pizzas and house wine (and everything else we tried) at L'Anaïs. We went 3 times. There is also a wine bar that seemed quite lively, but we didn't realize it's only open Thurs - Sat, so we missed it. Note that neither restaurant is open for dinner on Sun/Mon, so be sure to plan accordingly. There is a grocery store in St. Marcel sur Aude (only open until noon on Sunday). We loved this home and the hosts were very gracious and helpful. Note that this house may not be suitable for small children - the staircase is open to the living room with no railing.

Fantastic location for the chateaux 2 minutes walk away. Great decor and very clean. Note it is number 8 and the front door key is a little tricky.

A beautiful home. We were attending a wedding at the chateau de pratx.... it was a perfect location for this, a 5 minute walk. Not overall suitable for children due to the staircase but we did manage with a 2 year old. Overall no faults or complaints.

We were attending a family wedding at the Chateau du Puits Es Pratx, just five minutes walk up the lane, it was 35 degrees every day and this lovely house was a cool, calm oasis to retreat to for a siesta and downtime. There was everything we needed there and some lovely homely touches. We loved walking up to the little Alimentation for our morning croissants and even borrowed the bikes to cycle to La Somail and see the Canal du Midi. Delightful. Good wi-fi too.

Guiller and Bert's charming house is an oasis of tranquility in what is admittedly a very sleepy village. Beautifully, tastefully furnished, with a large kitchen, it is cool, light and airy in summer; and, with its centrepiece wood-burning fireplace, no doubt cosy in winter. The two bedrooms are spacious and comfortable; the living room is high-ceilinged with wooden beams and lovely furniture; the pretty garden has a sheltered dining table and a barbecue. There are mountain bikes if you feel energetic, and hammocks if you don't. There is a friendly bar and a small grocery just up the road, as well as a bank and a pharmacy. Our hosts helpfully provided us with a list of local restaurants and other attractions: Ginestas is the perfect place to explore the wine country of the Minervois, as well as the sand dunes and oyster beds to the south. It was our third year running in this part of the world, and this is easily the best property we have stayed in. There was even a bottle of local rosé and a jar of home-made fig jam to welcome us. I cannot recommend Guiller and Bert's house highly enough.

What a lovely house ! We had a lovely weekend in Ginestas. The house is lovely and spacious and well equipped. There is a cute garden at the back if you have time to sit outside. It is ideally situated for the Chateau down the road. We would highly recommend staying here.
