On the peaceful southend of Lopez Island, I offer a private room with a private entrance through the garden. Enjoy my garden!! You may spot an eagle, heron, wild turkeys or my neighbors the cows. There is a picnic table and barbecue in the garden for your use.

Many beautiful places to explore within walking/biking distance. Whatmough Bite national monument, Iceberg Point (whale watching!), Colville Point and Agate Beach County Park. Southend General Store and restaurant 1 mile down the road.

The space

This has been my home for 28 years. It is a lovely cabin that grew up with my daughter and I. It has a unique, rustic and magical feeling. Nature has worked her magic outside and in the garden as well.

Guest access

Private room, shared bath just down the hall. Drinking water, coffee and tea in the room. Cooler outside your door for keeping things cool. Barbecue and picnic table in the garden, guests are welcome to use these.

Interaction with guests

I look forward to meeting you and am happy to give you information to make your visit to Lopez wonderful and memorable.

Upon arrival, we were welcomed by a neighbor of Anamo's (as she was away camping for the weekend) and immediately felt at home. One of the most notable things she said was that Anamo's home is one of the best on the island. And I have to agree. Even though this is our first visit to the island, I was immediate charmed by her beautifully decorated home (we only saw our room and bathroom but I imagine the rest is as well) and her obviously carefully tended backyard garden. Which we ate from (apples and peaches and they were mmm delicious!) Our stay was perfect, comfortable and above and beyond what I expected. Anamo is the perfect host! We will definitely be returning!

Anamo's place is filled with love. She is a great host -- going out of the way to make us feel invited and comfortable. We had a great time. Her garden was a quiet place to meditate. Yogi and Lily are quiet companions. We had a good conversation in the still of the night over wine and it was wonderful. Thank you Anamo for sharing your lovely place with us.

Anamo was a very friendly and gracious host. The bedroom was small but had everything we needed. Sharing a bathroom worked flawlessly. We loved waking up to the baby cows next door! Beautiful place to stay

We had the loveliest AirBNB stay at Anamo's home on Lopez Island. We visited for a 3-day getaway in late August. Anamo's home is a quick 15-minute scenic drive into Lopez Village where most of the shops and restaurants on the island are (another small market is just down the street from her). Her charmingly rustic house is filled with lovely art from around the world, and located on some land by a forest and a neighboring cow farm. In the mornings we would be woken by the moo'ing of cows. We would brew some coffee in our room (kindly provided by Anamo) and walk out to the lovely 'meditation hut' by the beautiful garden, with several planter's boxes of flowers and vegetables. Our bedroom was very cozy and decently spacious, and just adjacent to the washroom down the hall with full bathtub and amenities. Towels and washcloths were provided. Anamo couldn't have been a kinder or friendlier host to us. Ditto for her friendly small pets Yogi the dog and Lily the cat. One evening we came back from our adventures, and told Anamo we wanted to make a small fire in her outdoor fire pit, and she graciously provided wood as well as some fire-starting materials. We sat by the fire while we gazed up at a night sky filled with stars. Anamo even left some local fresh fruit and some chocolates for us in our room before we arrived. It all made for the perfect "mental health holiday" away from the intensity of our home city of Seattle, and a happy visit to Lopez Island we'll never forget. Thank you for everything Anamo! -Dan & Jane Mohr

Anamo's home is truly an enchanting retreat. The room and bed were very comfortable. Anamo provided coffee, tea and fruit as a special treat. The bathroom is shared, but that was not uncomfortable at all. The room had a separate entrance and was totally private. Anamo made me feel very welcomed. I would love to stay again.

After extensive travel I have made my home here on Lopez. I still enjoy traveling. I also enjoy gardening, creative projects, yoga, my community and meeting new people! The beauty of nature is like food to me. I am so grateful to be able to enjoy it every day.
