About this listing

This place is the perfect place to stay in Dingle, to explore the town and the Peninsula. The cottage is less than a 5 min walk to the main centre of town. The rooms are light, airy and comfortable and the cottage is situated on a quite street so you can have a night out, stroll home and sleep soundly & comfortably!

The space

This is a self-contained guest suite in a lovely cottage in a great part of Dingle town.

Guest access

There are 2 double bedrooms and a private bathroom, with a separate living area space. Please note that the bed in the smaller of the two rooms is a "UK / Irish double" (48" / 125cm in width) and might not suit those who are used to a "Standard Double" (54" / 140cm in width). Guests also have a private living area space. While a full kitchen is not available, it has a table, fridge, kettle, cleaning products etc.

Interaction with guests

You have private access to your 2 bed apartment. I have lived in Dingle all my life. I run the record shop in Dingle and run regular music events and podcasts from the shop. I'm also an artist. Whatever advice you need about the area, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to help!

Other things to note

The owner resides in separate part of the house and has a service / guide dog.

Had a wonderful stay at the hideaway in dingle ! It's perfect location within walking distance of dingle town with a beautiful backdrop of the kerry mountains. The hideaway was perfect for our break to dingle . It was clean warm cozy and has something special about it, probably due to the owner mazz who was a wonderful host. We celebrated my nine year olds birthday in style as mazz whipped out her guitar and sang! What a special lady with a beautiful soul . We were warmly welcomed by Louis who showed us around, had the fridge stocked and advised us of the best restaurants and bars that dingle has to offer . The hideaway is a quirky home in an ideal location and would highly recommend for anyone planning to stay in dingle ! Will definitely be returning.

A lovely little cottage, very close to the main street, with an amply stocked fridge on arrival, and a warm welcome! Thanks Louis and Mazz! :-)

Mazz's place is in a perfect location! It's a quick walk to lots of great restaurants and pubs. I highly recommend Kennedy's. The beach is a quick drive away. We went horseback riding on the beach, which was amazing! Mazz's place was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed besides wifi, but that was easy enough to find in the town. I would highly recommend staying here if you get the chance. Dingle is absolutely beautiful!

Places like Mazz's are what can make AirBnB better than the normal hotel/bnb routine.. it's a nicely restored older home, very clean & comfortable, and more traditional than some of the larger places going up even in Dingle. It's within easy walking distance of the main street, but away from the noise. There isn't a full kitchen, but there's a fridge and Mazz thoughtfully provided fruit, snacks, drinks (and insisted we take along what we hadn't eaten!). Most important, Mazz is local to Dingle (she has a tiny music shop and is well plugged into the music scene), and is happy to share what she knows (and graciously encouraged me to practice my clumsy Irish with her!). Along with the fun of pubs/music/boat trips to Great Blasket island, it's also worth a quiet visit to the famine graveyard nearby - ask Mazz for directions.

Go to Dingle and ignore the tour buses, they leave at 6. Ask Mazz or Louis which bar has the best music that night. Go there, and enjoy some truly great music and have fun. Mazz's hideaway is a short walk to many different pubs, the place is not fancy, but was perfect for our small group. Well furnished and very comfortable. We will would definitely stay here again if we make it back...

Mazz's place was perfect for us. She has partioned her 200 yr old cottage, and the rental side has 2 bedrooms, a nice bathroom and cozy living room. It's located in a quiet, rural-like lane, a quick walk from the pubs and restaurants, and also the cool little record shop that Mazz owns. Louie was our contact and was great to work with, and both him and Mazz are just very lovely folks. A true highlight of our trip. We miss you and we miss Dingle and we miss Ireland. Can't wait to return!

I’m a proud local woman. I’m a musician – I run the record store in Dingle. I’m also a keen artist – you’ll find a lot of my artwork around the cottage.
