A cluster of cabanas under the trees, Kulalingam’s is perfect to chill out near the beach.
Price is for a double bedroom with attached bathroom, without AC.
Kulalingam’s is a really nice cluster of cabanas, among the coconut trees about 150 metres to Nilaveli beach. Mr. Kulalingam purchased this land just a few months before the Boxing Day Tsunami, some 9 years ago. Steadily saving their money, the hosts are building new cabanas whenever they can. If only we all we so smart...
On offer are two double cabanas and a cottage with three rooms. All rooms are well-maintained, clean, nicely furnished and ventilated.
The garden has a real tropical feel to it, including the sand between your toes and coconuts up in the trees. Nice :)
Interaction with guests
Mr Kulalingam is a native from Trinco town. He’s in his early 70's and has recently retired after working for the Sri Lankan electricity board for 30 years.
He lives with his wife in a separate house on the premises. Together they look after their guests to earn a living. And they’re doing well!
Mr. Kulalingam speaks English well, can provide breakfast if requested in advance, and can arrange transport and tours in the region.
Cancel up to 5 days before your trip and get a full refund. Cancel within 5 days of your trip and the first night is non-refundable, but 50% of the cost for the remaining nights will be refunded.
Neverbeen offers a wide variety of rare homes off the beaten track, from fisherman's huts and tree houses to heritage homes and tea estates. Our team hand-picks and visits every home and meet all hosts to make ensure guests have a positively memorable stay in places they've never been.
We provide travellers and home owners in challenging locations with access to one another, by offering communication services, online marketing services and tourism training, so that locals can make a living off their home and travellers can get to stay in places they have never been.
As such, Neverbeen works for a world in which everyone has the chance to earn income by renting out their home, regardless of language, internet access and tourism experience.
In Sri Lanka, Dishan manages our growing group of homes in cooperation with our scouts, while Rohan creates listings and provides service. In Amsterdam, Marten works out international growth plans. Our team of in-house programmers is constantly developing the platform itself and Ernst & Young does our finances.
The first country we're active in is Sri Lanka, a beautiful country with many undiscovered places to stay. Due to it recently having opened up to tourism after decades of conflict, it is a great place to start and pilot the Neverbeen concept. We plan to expand to ten countries before the end of 2017.
