The apartment was very nicely decorated, and was very clean and tidy, with all mod cons, and the shower room was very good also. Port Vendres is a great little, unpretentious town, with some fantastic coastal walks, and its a great base if you have a car too. The outside space was spoiled for us during the day due to a construction site situated directly behind the property. It starts at 8am every day, and closes down around 4-5pm, including Saturdays ( we had 3 quiet days in 2 weeks, and one of these was Bastille Day, a national holiday ). This isn't mentioned in any of the property descriptions, and I directly asked the host via email whether the area was quiet, and I was informed categorically that it was, ( the host actually lives a 3 minute walk away from the property ). The noise completely ruled out any quality time spent in the garden during the daytimes, which is a shame. One is obviously out and about a lot on holiday, but when you do have some down time, its not nice to have construction noise spoiling it for you. I'll add that it wasn't a huge problem for us, but I wouldn't have booked had I known beforehand. Sylvia was very helpful, and only lives down the street. I would recommend Sylvia's property, and I'm sure the construction will end, but to my untrained eye, I would say that would be roughly another year.

Nous avons séjourné une semaine dans l'appartement de Sylvia. Très bon accueil, des hôtes arrangeants sur l'heure d'arrivée et disponibles. Bel appartement, rénové avec goût et situé dans une charmante région. La climatisation de l'appartement est très appréciable. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas place de stationnement attitrée. Par ailleurs nous reprochons la qualité de la literie, la propreté du matelas et de l'appartement de manière générale. Ceci ne nous a pas empêché d'y passer un très agréable séjour.
