The Nook is ideal for couples, solo, business and student travellers & you are assured of a warm welcome from this friendly family & two friendly cats! We want you to relax so breakfast is provided for your first night.
A bright modern annexe with underfloor heating & radiators to keep you toe-toasty! In a rural hamlet, it’s perfect for lying in bed & star gazing through the roof lantern; a real treat! But don’t worry, a blackout blind ensures you get your beauty sleep & wake refreshed!

The space
Being only a 5 min stroll from public footpaths and bridleways, situated near an arboretum, lakes & 4 golf clubs, The Nook is perfect for walkers, nature lovers, cyclists and golfers and we have secure storage for bikes, golf clubs etc.
The Nook’s facilities, free Wifi, late self-check-in and proximity to road, bus and rail networks make work stays for business and student travellers as easy as possible.
Parking: your designated space is immediately in front of The Nook with level access from the tarmac drive to the low threshold entrance into your entrance hall.
Hall: Here you can store coats, bags and muddy boots. A hair dryer is provided along with a large mirror and handy socket. Bookshelves and cupboard with games.
Studio room: a comfortable double bed awaits, which is at wheelchair accessible height, with an angle poise reading light. Two wardrobes, full length mirror, small extendable table, which doubles as a desk, 2 comfy upholstered dining chairs and a desk lamp. The padded headboard and cushions mean you can comfortably sit or lie back and relax on the bed and watch TV or read one of The Nook’s books or magazines. Kitchen area: hob, oven, microwave, kettle, small fridge, toaster. Room approximately 450cm X 382cm.
Bathroom: this was designed with accessibility in mind and there is a walk/roll in shower with no lip and non-slip tiles in the shower area. There are 2 shower heads; one fixed and one hand held if you are sitting down. The wall hung toilet is higher than normal making it more accessible to those with reduced mobility. The sink is also wall hung. A perching stool and toilet frame are available upon request. There is underfloor heating as well as a heated towel radiator.

Guest access
There is much to see and do including historic buildings and castles, museums, gardens, pubs, restaurants, independent retailers and a thriving arts centre with a modern theatre and galleries. We have OS and street maps in our information folder.
Directly in front of The Nook is a small gravel area with a table and 2 chairs where you can enjoy an alfresco coffee or a refreshing glass of 'something' after a busy day. This area is partially screened from the drive by plants, large planter & trellis. See photos
Dedicated parking space directly in front of The Nook with level access to low threshold private entrance hall.
Wellington is 5-10 min walk away - village shop, post office, community library, Home & Garden centre selling architectural antiques, plants, gifts, & a café serving delicious homecooked food.
Only 5 miles from Hereford, where you’ll find supermarkets, shops, restaurants, the racecourse, theatre & other leisure facilities.
Approx. 40 mins from Wales’s stunning scenery & 45-90 mins drive to Worcester, Birmingham, Bristol & Cardiff.
Please ask if you'd like to use an iron and ironing board; we keep them in the main house.
Laundry service is provided for a small fee.

Other things to note
The studio overlooks a small gravel area with planters and trellis. In front of that is the drive. The Nook doesn’t have its own garden, just what is shown in the photos, but it is only a 3 min walk to the closest public footpath.
The Nook is an annexe attached to the front of a modern house where we live and you may see us as you/we come and go. If you need anything at all please knock on the front door or text/ring us and we'll be happy to help. We are very friendly but respect your privacy.
We are situated in a country lane, parts of which are a bit narrow and you may meet others cars. Maybe even a tractor!
Too warm or too cold – please let us know as we have a large fan and can adjust the heating.
Privacy film on large windows – works in daylight.

We are situated in a country lane a few minutes walk from the village of Wellington and a short drive from the A49. The village has a well-stocked shop selling some local produce, a post office, and a home and garden centre, with a café, which sells both plants, gifts and architectural antiques.
We can recommend some good country pubs, as well as restaurants in Hereford. There are 4 golf clubs within a 15 minute drive, many beautiful walks including a local arboretum, Bodenham lakes, a bright and modern arts centre for theatre, music, art and eating, plus many more historic, cultural and outdoor attractions.
