Welcome to Keld Knowle, the farm was built in the 1780's and the Scaling family have farmed here for fifty years. It is a busy place with 100 dairy cows, crops, tractors, beef cattle, calves, two ponies, cats and a crazy dog.
We have two bedrooms with far reaching views, both have pitch pine panelling, one is en-suite. Breakfast included.
It's a 5 minute walk to the pub and there are many other walking paths from the farm into the National Park.
45mins drive to York or Whitby.

The space

Keld Knowle is a family home, the bedrooms are located up stairs in the farmhouse. The rooms are large, airy with south facing windows that catch the sunshine. Teas and coffee facilities are provided in the room, there is a lounge downstairs with table and chairs for your use.

amazing place and scenery, 17th century farmhouse and brilliant hosts, really enjoyed my stay and wished i could have stayed longer. arrived to friendly welcome and a cuppa and tour around farm, It really was interesting to learn about its produce and running, even booked the pub down the road for us and they were waiting when we turned up, the food was fantastic and i slept like a log. I'll be going back. xx :D

Karen was a lovely host. We had a nice welcome with tea and homemade flapjack and had lovely chats with Karen and Anthony (Karen's husband). It's a working farm but they took time out to spend time with us but equally giving privacy. Karen put another single bed into the room as I had taken my mother for an overnight trip. A comfortable night sleep was had and breakfast was great. My mother was impressed with the fresh cows milk...milked that morning! Karen's recommendation of the Fox and Hounds was good. Their food was excellent and I would recommend the seafood platter and a glass of their prosecco. Thanks Karen
