This Maple Leaf 48 is a comfortable safe sailing vessel. It will provide up to 2 guests with full privacy in one forward stateroom with a small washroom with shower. The guests will have full access to the vessel to experience not only the living but the sailing experience as crew. You have the use of a paddle board that accommodates two and a rigid inflatable dingy .

The space
This is ideal for a couple or friends who do not mind sharing a cabin with one double bed.

Guest access
Access to a well equipped kitchen, including a BBQ. I will provide basic food provisions & basic meals - you bring any specialty food items & beverages. You can prepare your own meals or eat the basic set meal plan prepared by the captain.

Other things to note
LIFEJACKETS PROVIDED (It is YOUR responsibility to wear them while underway).

Fishing equipment available, guests must obtain proper licensing.

On a minimum 4 day excursion you can learn basic:
- Anchoring and securing a vessel for overnight
- points of Sail, vessel trim and safety
- radio use
- Boating safety & rules of the road
- knots and securing lines
- boat and water safety
- setting and retrieving crab or prawn traps

Option for guests to achieve their boating licence ($30- 50 dollar extra cost)

The Gulf Islands, Desolation Sound, Broughton Islands, Sunshine Coast , Vancouver, Victoria, Naniamo, and the list goes on. Many of these locations are great for spotting wildlife such as Whales, seals, sea otters, bald eagles etc. Great for crabbing, prawning , fishing & harvesting shellfish such as clams, oysters etc.

Vancouver is listed as my base but we can arrange pick up & drop off at any pre-arranged location in this area.

I am a retired executive who enjoys the simple life of sailing and travelling. My sailboat a 48 foot Maple Leaf along with a rigid hull inflatable dingy provides a very comfortable, and safe environment from June until end of September.
