Marion was very quick to respond. I had a load of questions for her about the space, location, and island. Being a musician, I was hoping to find some music on the island and she was very helpful in answering my many questions and where to find music. We met some local musicians - the owners of Coqui Fire Cafe which was probably the best food we had on the island who steered us in the right direction - Mar Azul bar open mic/ jam on Friday nights. The island is small and doesn't take much time to get to know whats happening. Conuco was also a great restaurant in Isabel. All within walking distance of the house. The home was very clean and spacious. Views were amazing. Good restaurants, friendly locals, fun bars in Isabel. The house is on a very steep and sobering hill. Hence, the amazing views. But if you want to relax, the house is very good for that and has everything you need to do so - even a mango tree. But also close enough to town that you can go have a good time and not worry about driving or hitting a horse on your way home. I really enjoyed the sounds of nature that surround the house. The birds really remind you where you are (in a good way) Being the last house on top of a hill, it gets a good breeze. The island is small and Esperanza is a great little town to explore on the south side of the island. We visited every day as well, a beautiful 5-10 minute drive. Also, good nightlife and good food trucks- Lizzys tacos were excellent. And blue beach was our favorite. Thanks Marion

A beautiful house with a great layout and homey feel. Wonderful breezes in every room. Lots of places to hang out together or alone. Excellent kitchen and appliances with all the basic staples in the cupboard -- if you're an avid cook, you'll be very happy. Caretakers are right across the street if you need anything, but you'll find it's all here. A 7 minute walk down to town for essentials or a 5 minute drive to a well stocked grocery store.

Casa Mariposa is so beautiful and extremely well appointed. We had everything we needed for snorkeling, beach going, and making fabulous meals at the house every evening. Views from the screened in dining area and rooftop terrace are amazing, and we saw hummingbirds galore in the gorgeous flower gardens.

This was a wonderful house with great views and a beautiful garden! Property manager Nano lives conveniently across the street and was always available and helpful. Oh, and chickens roosting in the trees. Yes, in the trees. My friends and I did not want to leave, and we will definitely return!

My family had a lovely stay at Casa Mariposa. Though we didn't get the opportunity to meet Marion in person, we felt her generous hospitality though the amenities provided in her home, her lovely neighbors, and her excellent guide materials on how to spend our time on Vieques. We loved the island!

What a wonderful place! The home is beautifully decorated and comfortably appointed, with all the items you could need for a family vacation. Marion has stocked it with all types of kitchen supplies, plenty of towels and linens, reading materials, snorkel and beach gear. The caretaker, Nano, is across the street should you need anything. The house sits on top of a steep hill, which can be tricky to navigate in your vehicle, but lends a feeling of security (not to mention offers a great view!) It's convenient to Isabel II (Vieques' main town) and also for exploring the island. Marion was responsive to all our questions. My family of 5 had a terrific experience here.
