Great location 2 mi. north of TWU/University Dr.; 3 mi. from Denton Town Square; 3 mi. to Water Works. Two bedrooms at one end of the house are available for rent with a bathroom in between. If the other one is not rented, you'll have a private bath. Bed is about a year old and seldom used. I work from home, so I will be here most of the time. Neighborhood is quiet. I have 2 rooms for rent; the other has a queen bed.

The space

This bed is fairly new and comfortable. All linens, towels, soap, toilet paper, shampoo are provided. I have no pets. You will have a key lock on your bedroom door & a code to get in the front door. (My bedroom is on the other side of the house.) Feel free to use the living areas, TV, laundry, kitchen and outdoors. I'm a coffee drinker, so make a pot every morning, or tea, that you can share. The only kitchen restriction I would have is cooking meat and storing meat, since I am vegetarian, but a TV dinner would be fine. Parking is easy in the front of the house. I'm located 2-2 1/2 miles to 2 Starbucks & to 2 grocery stores (Natural Grocers & Kroger) & to several pizza shops; close to fast food and other restaurants; 3 miles to a large shopping area (Walmart, Ross, Kohl's, Super Cuts, Great Clips, Panera, Starbucks, 2 more grocery stores and more). This is a great neighborhood with sidewalks and trails.

Guest access

In addition to your room and bath, you can use the living room, kitchen, dining, laundry room, and outdoor spaces.

Beverly's place is nice cozy and clean. As a very organized host, everything you would need are in place, i.e clean sheets, towels, laundry facilities, fully functional kitchen etc. I felt very much at home and enjoyed the quiet peaceful home. Also surprisingly I got a free daily breakfast as an extra. My first experience with AirBnb turned out a great one. I will definitely be back to Beverly's place any other time I visit The Dallas Forth Worth area.

This was perfect for me, wanting somewhere close to work to temporarily shorten my commute. Convenient and low-maintenance. Since the bathroom is shared with another renter, there are rules for keeping it in mint condition between uses. If you're staying in warm weather, you may want to check with the host to see if you agree about AC settings before you book. When I communicated (as is requested in the welcome packet) after several days that I was uncomfortably warm with an AC setting of 78 at night, she suggested 77; I said I didn't think that would help, and she reluctantly accepted 76, even though I made it clear that I would still have difficulty sleeping with it that warm, forcing me to sleep with the ceiling fan above the bed on, which I said had been making me cough during previous nights. There was no other fan available. This may not be an issue for others, I just thought some might like to know. Also, the mattress was not my preference, so I needed to bring my own (super thin) pillow from home to compensate. I didn't mention this to the host because I made my own adjustments. Again, not necessarily a problem for others, and would not keep me from renting again, but I would bring my own additions, plus a pedestal fan, again.

Response from Beverly:
I appreciate that you did come to me about your room temperature, but that was on the 11th evening of your of your stay, consisting of 15 evenings. You also stated at that time that on four of the future booked nights the temperature outside would be much lower, so it wouldn't matter. So, I had no way of knowing that the previous 10 nights might have been uncomfortable for you. Prior to becoming a host, I had an air conditioning company come out twice to make sure that the vents would provide optimal air to the two bedrooms I rent. I asked the first five guests who used the bedroom if the temperature was cool enough for them, and they said "yes". I have also asked people if they had a comfortable night's sleep. You are the first person to ever mention that the bed was not comfortable for you (after the fact). I'm sorry if you thought you clearly communicated to me that 76 was not a low enough temperature for your comfort. I did remind you that there is no return air vent in the bedroom, just in the hall outside the bedroom, and suggested you leave your door open for better air flow, since just the two of us would be in the house and at opposite ends. For that night, I did set the air to 75, lower than my comfort. I'd like to also remind you that you asked for a 25% discount for the 15 intermittent nights that you stayed. I did give you that in the form of a check. A motel room, where you can adjust your temperature, might be a better option for you in the future, although they probably won't give you a discount.
