Experience life in a traditional Japanese Fishermen's Village in the city of Obama.
The nightly rate includes an authentic seafood course, prepared using fresh catch from the same morning, a Japanese breakfast, and a 1-hour boat tour led by the owner of the Ryokan.
We have a traditional Japanese house devoted just for our guests. There are two floors, with 6 guest rooms in total. You will be staying in room 201, which is connected with room 202, giving you two tatami rooms which can hold up to 13 guests.
There are a total of 7 toilets in the house, and one very spacious sento (Japanese shared bath) which alternates between hours for women and hours for men. The times will be written on the board outside of the bath house.
Since this is a traditional Japanese Guesthouse, many basic facilities are shared with other guests. This provides an opportunity for you to get to know other travellers and exchange stories from your travels.

There is a parking lot for our guests, in case you arrive by car or decide to get a rental car to explore the area. Reservation is not required.
Interaction with guests
Included in this reservation is a 1-hour boat tour led by your host. Mr. Murakami will take you to the best fishing spots in the Nishiogawa Bay (西小川), where rare and large fish are caught on a frequent basis. There are barely any tourists in the area, so you will have the Nishiogawa Bay all to yourself! If you like, you can even rent a set of fishing gear and catch your dinner with Mr. Murakami! Whether you are a beginner in fishing or a veteran angler, there is something our place has to offer to you.
Other things to note
All of our meals are prepared from seafood caught on the same morning, so freshness is absolutely guaranteed! You don’t have to worry about quantity either, we can serve our sashimi in a Funamori (舟盛り), which is a large boat-shaped wooden plate with the sole purpose of serving sashimi and sushi.
Your host, who is also the chef cook of Murakami, will prepare unique meals made from locally sourced ingredients that are only available during the season of your visit. We will do our best to give you an unforgettable dining experience!
The meal included in this Airbnb reservation is one breakfast and a standard dinner.
