This was a perfect place to stay because of the house and the hosts. The hosts were very friendly and made us feel comfortable at their place. The house had everything you would need for a short or a long stay. The breakfast provided was perfect for me and my friend as we always got enough food. We went there with no car and it wasn't a necessity as the bus stop was very close, cheap and easy to use. I would highly recommend this to anyone traveling to this area.

Our family (inc two teenage boys) have just got back from three nights at Nicky's house. We needed to be near Barnstaple for a wedding. Lovely house, very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were great, including fresh eggs, and it was a very relaxed experience. Nicky and Si are very welcoming and helpful and really do want their guests to feel completely at home. We went for dinner on one night at the Jack Russell pub along the road which was very good, and had a look inside the interesting church opposite. We also had a bracing walk around Baggy Point to Putsborough Beach and back. The rest of the time was taken up by the wedding so we didn't have time to do other things in the local area. We'd certainly recommend Nicky's accommodation to anyone wanting to stay in the area and next time we'd make time to go and see the horse and the owl, although the cat did a fair PR job on the animal front.

We were looking for somewhere for an overnight fairly near to Croyde and Woolacombe for a little surfing weekend, and easy access to Exmoor. This proved a great location: a quiet village, but easy access to, for examples, lots of eating places Barnstaple and Instow which we really enjoyed. Nicola could not have been more welcoming. The four of us (children aged 12 and 15) were really comfortable in 3 rooms (2 doubles – 1 with en-suite, and a single); made more than welcome to use kitchen, living room, wi-fi, tv etc. Also important to us was the ability to hose down surfboards and wetsuits and being able to get them dry. Breakfast was great: freshly laid eggs, freshly made croissants, and plenty more variety for the kids. Most important though was Nicola & Si’s friendly welcome. We felt totally at home. A lovely place and lovely people. Highly recommended!
