I enjoyed my stay at this casa. I was really pleased they were waiting for me at the bus station with my name on a placard. The casa is very clean and my things were safe and secure in my room. The hosts are pleasant and friendly and although not fluent in English were able to communicate with me. Adjacent to the casa is a small casa selling things and a butchers. I was easily able to walk everywhere from their casa. I particularly liked the fact it was in a residential area away from noise, traffic and touts. I chose to have breakfast everyday at this casa. I highly recommend this casa with its lovely hosts.

We believed it would be a wonderful journey in Trinidad with our host, as they picked us in the bus station and seemed friendly while introducing their house. However, we were very disappointed and angry on the day we left and wished to leave asap :(((( NEVER TOUCH THE DRINKS INSIDE THE REFRIGERATOR OR ACCEPT ANYTHING THAT THEY GIVE TO YOU IF POSSIBLE. When they showed us the drinks in the refrigerator upon our arrival, we asked (once in English, once in Spanish to ensure they understand our question) whether the drinks were for free. They just replied some not understandable Spanish to us and said "they are all for you", and there were no price tags for anything in our room, which confused us. When we were checking out, they charged us all of the drinks that we have taken, in a price much higher than the stores on the street. Besides, they simply asked us whether we will have breakfast on the next morning on the first day, without telling us the price or would it be charged. At the end, we were both charged without a doubt. I strongly advise you that DO NOT tell the host where you want to go or going to do. For example, we were going to la playa de Boca, he immediately took us to his friend's shop to rent bikes without sufficient communication to us prior before. Hola Willy lamentamos mucho que te hayas sentido asi en nuestra casa, de todo corazon ese no fue nuestro objetivo, hubo un gran problema de comunicacion , pero por otra parte tambien fue que esto nunca bnos habia pasado pues todos los turistas en Cuba y en particular los que han estado en mi casa saben que todo lo que esta en la nevera es pago adicional asi como lo es el desayuno y la cena a no ser que se haya llegado a un acuerdo antes de algun servicio que hubiesemos querido incluir. Espero que tengan mejores experiencias en su estadia en la isla y gracias por sus comentarios nos serviran para en el futuro no cometer estos errores. Atentamente Hostal Dalmatas
