My daughter and I had such a lovely time at the cabin. It is exactly as presented. What were extras that we were delighted to enjoy were a very calm and relaxing evening paddle on the lake upon arrival, warm wood stove going also for our arrival, gifts of salmon and cookies from Robert and Mary and extra touches of information on an as-need basis. The cabin is private but Robert and Mary are readily available a short walk up a path. As it was fall, we took in Anchorage on one day trip, the Alaska State Fair in Palmer on another, and then just spent a lovely day unwinding and relaxing in the cozy cabin. The cabin is a perfect getaway on a lake but within day-trip outings distance to the city, hiking, and the State Fair grounds. The surrounding country is beautiful. The cabin was clean and well - cared for with all the amenities.

What a delight to meet you and your family and have you choose Rustic Spruce for your accommodations as you embarked on a very special experience in Alaska. Hearing the excitement in your voices as you caught fish on the lake was so nice. We hope the experience of having chosen a genuine log cabin shapes your son's memories of Alaska as some of the happiest ever! Thank you for sharing a remarkable story that brought you to Alaska...and Rustic Spruce. Warm regards, Robert & Mary Kreft

The Cabin: This Alaskan cabin is settled (as pictured) on the shore of a quiet lake with various wildlife. Additionally it sits surrounded by a range of mountain peaks to take in while boating or cooking out. It is private, it is warm, it is secure and it is quiet. It is also perfectly accessible from the main highway, which I would note takes you north to south to all the state and national parks and preserver and scenery one could possibly imagine. The cabin is rustic in its own right but it accentuate Los the Alaskan wild, it has every necessity you can need and the kitchen and utensils were so clean and intentionally organized. We felt blessed to be a part of this home. One other note, THE WIFI IS AMAZING. Being from the big city halfway across the world it seems, wifi is often boasted but it turns out the best connection I ever had was in Alaska! Go figure... The Hosts: Wonderful, kind and generous souls. They blessed out stay with their gracious character and courtesy. They are ideal Airbnb hosts and we use Airbnb extensively. It was perfect for us, so open yourself to take Alaska in for whatever your purpose here is and share t with these hosts in this home. Thanks guys!

Mary & I own the cabin property acreage next door.
