Interaction with guests

We will respect your privacy whilst you are staying with us but sometimes you might see us moving about the property, feeding animals, gardening and enjoying our yard.
Ken is a keen birdwatcher and also has natural habitat aviaries around the garden. He is always ready to chat about birds. Having lived and worked on Beechmont for the last 32 years, we are happy to recommend our favourite walks, drives, eateries and places for relaxing and birdwatching if you ask us.

Other things to note

Beechmont sits on the Lamington Plateau with outstanding views in every direction. Rosin's Lookout is a popular place for hanggliders and paragliders. The Binna Burra section of world-heritage listed Lamington National Park covers over 160km of graded walking tracks and is home to the majestic Antarctic Beech, pademelons and Albert's lyrebird.

Loved our stay at Ken and Karens place, so peaceful! Just what we needed and more... Karen had gone the extra mile with homemade touches all over our room (baking, soap etc.) Ken was so kind to show us around his magnificent property and give us some tips on the trails in the national park. We would love to come back!

We would recommend this stay to anybody who wants to get away for a peaceful quiet break, away from it all in extremely comfortable and clean accommodation. The cheese platter and breakfast was a great touch. Make sure you make the most of Kens passion for the surrounding area and his knowledge of the local wildlife. A must do is to spend time in his aviary which is home to an amazing collection of finches and other birds which he encourages you to enjoy. Mike & Leanne
