Delightful and quirky converted Chapel with spacious accommodation in quiet village in rural setting, north of Carlisle. Built in 1901, it has also been an artists studio, gallery and teaching centre. Good base for a quiet family holiday . Ideal for touring the district , in particular, Hadrians Wall , historic Carlisle, beautiful Eden Valley, Northumberland, Scotland and the Northern Lakes . It is within driving distance for walking , cycling and is on the Reivers cycling trail.

The space
The Chapel is a unique building retaining many of its original and later 'studio' features. There are wooden floors throughout the main areas which are rustic in finish and rugs here and there to add extra comfort. The Chapel has a large open sitting/studio room with log burning stove and large original single glazed leaded windows, separate dining area with staircase to mezzanine with large hallway/ sitting room area leading to Double bedroom with very compact ensuite shower room including Loo and small basin. Across the hallway a further two smaller bedrooms, both twin bedded . The bathroom, including basin, loo, large bath (currently without shower although manual shower attachment can be used for washing hair) and kitchen are situated downstairs ( the converted vestry) . Driveway has room for 2 cars and the building is surrounded with attractive garden areas with patio to the rear, picnic table and small patio table with 2 seats( which are usually stored in the front porch during colder months).
