Sorry to hear, Laura. We did try to help as much as we could have. However, we are unable to give refunds after the first 48 hours of your stay. Your email regarding this issue, which we completely apologized for, was sent at 9pm local time on the 8th night of your stay. This is simply an Airbnb policy. We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay, but this issue could not have been avoided and we did everything in our power to try and resolve it for you. Although cockroaches must have been unpleasant, we are sorry to inform you that this is not avoidable by switching hotels - this is simply an issue that can occur in any hotel/apartment in a tropical island. Nevertheless, it is quite odd and an unfamiliar response that you say there is cleanliness issues, as our unit is cleaned after every guest leaves by a professional cleaning company.
