We are delighted you are thinking about visiting us in the beautiful historical city of York.
With a view of the famous York City walls, our first floor flat is located 5 minutes from the heart of York's wonderful city centre.
Our flat in City House is a traditional English Georgian property built in the 1860s. Formerly a York pub, then a social club, the building was renovated for living spaces 8 years ago.
We are located on the first floor, with no lift access, but very few steps to step! The building is very quiet on a night, and of course perfectly located for you to explore the City.
The flat is lived in by myself, however I work outside of York, so you will always have full and private use of the flat for yourself.
There is a large kitchen/living/diningroom, which is bright and decorated with a modern twist. Relax and watch TV or listen to records. The guest bedroom is large, brightly decorated and has clothes rail and draw for your things. A large comfortable double bed ensures a great night's sleep! Finally, there is also a large bathroom for you to freshen before and after a days sightseeing.
This flat is perfectly situated for exploring York and the surrounding areas. We are a 5 minute walk from the city centre, and a 5 minute taxi from the train station. There is a choice of 4 traditional pubs, restaurants, and a convenience shops on the street, with many more places to explore nearby.
Free parking is available on surrounding streets, or alternatively we are next to a private car park if you prefer.
We are well situated for fast access on the roads in and out of York, and have a private bike shed which you can lock for your cycles.
Remember to make the most of the Barbican on your doorstep, as York's biggest venue why not catch a gig, some comedy, watch some sport, or see a show.
Finally, Edible York is right by our doorstep, so if you're a cook, pick your ingredients fresh from our patch! It's free and very very tasty!
