Small, quiet town getaway in the country. Great for girl's weekend to the wineries or boy's weekend for golfing or a family weekend of fishing.

The space

Our place has one bedroom, one bathroom, and a family room. It has a king size bed, with a couch in the family room that makes into a full size bed, and a chair that pulls out into a twin bed. We have a large mini fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker.
We are on the lake and have a pond, so we have access to fishing.

Guest access

Kayaks provided for the lake at an additional fee of $10 per day for 2.
A listing of other activities/places to go/places to eat near/around town will be available in the house. However feel free to check it out before you get here!

Interaction with guests

The living space is in the basement of the house, but has several windows, and a patio that looks at the lake. The area is locked off and is separate from the rest of the house, however we live in the upstairs, so we are available to assist you in any way. Breakfast is continental style.

Other things to note

Higginsville is home to the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.

We were a group of four, and the space worked great for us. Everything was clean and fresh for our stay. Towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner were provided. Cheryl helped us with the kayaks and provided muffins in the morning. The host's dogs and conversation were delightful.

Cheryl was great and went out of her way to make sure we got in alright. The place is beautiful and the lake is gorgeous. I wish we could have stayed longer maybe next time.

Cheryl was an all-around excellent host. She is very nice and informative on how to get to the house which is located in a beautiful secluded area next to a lake. The place itself is clean and well-furnished. It was stalked up with snacks and drinks, and Cheryl even made us cinnamon rolls and banana nut bread for breakfast. I couldn't ask for a better experience!
