Located on Westley Farm in the beautiful Cotswold hills, our "Bluebell" Sheek Shack is nestled in its own intimate and private dell in the forest, quietly surrounded by trees, flowers, butterflies and birdsong – one can’t help but be totally captivated. Fitted with Solar powered lights, phone and laptop charging and a woodburning stove you can be warm and feel totally at home in your snug and cosy nest in the woods.

The space

Comfortably sleeps two adults in a double bed, with space for a maximum of 2 children's floor mattresses or travel cots.
Toilets and Hygiene – Hut has running water and a dry compost toilet close by – ‘a room with a view’. There are showers available in the Farm Courtyard by the barn.
Cooking – There is a small outside Kitchen fitted with a 2 ring gas cooker, pots, pans, and all the necessary hardware to self cater. There is a camp fire and some basic campfire cooking equipment too for more authentic flavours and fireside cooking and Barbeques.
Firewood – There is some firewood included in the booking price and if you run out we can provide well seasoned and dry firewood for a small charge if you use more than what we provide. We manage the woodlands carefully for the wildlife and don’t allow guests to cut their own from the forest. We can provide unsplit wood and a small axe if you like splitting your own logs and kindling.

We can provide 2 camping mattresses and 2 pillows for 2 kids to stay with you too (please ask at time of booking) but we do not provide children's bedding.

Guest access

Toilet, cleaning and cooking facilities are within a building just across the farmyard, a short walk away from where you will be staying: 1 toilet, 2 showers, kitchen and wifi.

The kitchen has a large dining table, fridge, gas cooker with 5 hobs and 2 ovens, microwave oven & toaster. There are coin-operated washing and drying machines here too.

All of these facilities are available to guests of the two Sheek Shacks on the farm

Thank you Piers for a perfect weekend away in your beautiful den. We enjoyed fireside cooking and warm evenings your cosy Sheek Shack. The surrounding countryside is perfect for walks and exploring. The accommodation had everything we needed to be comfortable whilst enjoying the outdoors. We ate fresh apples and blackberries from surrounding fields, an added bonus! I highly recommend booking this and hope to return soon.

The hut was fantastic - in a gorgeous location right amongst the cows, sheep, chickens etc of the farm. Perfect place to getaway from it all.

A rustic cabin in the middle of nowhere, perfect for a retreat from the world to live simply with your loved ones (or on your own!) Piers is a very considerate and responsive host. The shack is cosy, being equipped with a gas stove, exceptionally comfy bed, wood burning stove and fire pit - nonetheless don't forget your woollies as it can get chilly. The loo is an out house a few metres away from the shack and the showers are a 5 min walk away at the farmhouse - but that's the price for being able to live in the middle of a wood! We enjoyed plenty of walks right on the doorstep (one of which leads to the brilliant Lavender cafe) and Stroud / Cirencester are just a short drive away if you need a town. All in all, highly recommended if you enjoy nature, simple pleasures and escaping the hustle and bustle!
