This is a rustic cabin--no plumbing or electric. It has battery-powered permanent lighting. It has beds, chairs, table, clothing and food storage. Our guests supply their own pillows, blankets, sheets, towels, pots, pans, plates and silverware. There are porta-potties and a shower-house nearby, as well as sources of potable drinking water. The Cabin is just steps away from our wild, whitewater stream running through a majestic hemlock forest. Dogs welcome!

The space

In some places, the stream is a constant source of energy and playfulness; in other places, it is peaceful and calming. The forest offers a vast array of plants, and signs of wildlife are everywhere. In the cabin, there is a queen bed in a separate bedroom at the rear of the cabin. A set of bunk beds table, chairs, and couch are in the main room. There are also two sleeping lofts; one has a queen mattress, the other has two twin mattresses.

Guest access

We are located within 30-45 minutes of many major recreational areas, including Blackwater Falls, Swallow Falls, Dolly Sods Wilderness, the Youghiogheny River, several ski resorts, and Deep Creek Lake.

We had a great time at Cabin F. There were a good few other campers, but the place was not crowded (and no sites around our cabin were in use this weekend). Everyone was respectful of each other and the environment. We drove to Blackwater Falls State Park and Dolly Sods Wilderness Area, both of which were recommended by the hosts and now are recommended by us (two 20-somethings and a dog).
