It was an fairly enjoyable stay at Marisol's house in Coronado. Her daughter Maria was very helpful to receive us and even provided transportation to/from Panama City and arrangements for the 2nd part of our vacation. The house is accurately shown in the photos. No unpleasant surprises. Though I have been told that renovations are happening soon. A couple things to note if considering a stay: A car is essential when staying here. The neighborhood is fairly secluded and it is a 15 minute walk to the local convenience store and an hour walk to the grocery store. The bugs can be fierce. Especially after a rain it is intolerable to be outside. The beach near the house is not very nice. A lot of dark sand and very very few people. There is no water pressure in the main bathroom most of the time. Both shower and sink faucet. The air-conditioner in the main bedroom did not work. We were not advised until after we arrived. We were told that there would be somebody to come clean the yard twice a week. And somebody else to clean the pool twice a week. During our stay of more than 3 weeks the yard was not cleaned once. There were leaves and coconuts all over the yard. The pool was only cleaned twice during our stay. During the last week and a half of our stay the pool was too dirty to swim in. Although Maria did inquire with us if anybody had come, nothing was done about it. This was our biggest disappointment of the stay. The electricity is very expensive. For 2 people staying less than a month the electricity bill was nearly $300. This was a surprise as we were advised that it would be about $100 with A/C Overall I would recommend a stay here in Coronado although some improvements are necessary especially more reliable pool/yard cleaning.

My Partner and I have the plan to life in Panama soon. On the middle term we are renting our rustic and awesome house in the Pacific Ocean.
We are open minded, progressive and social justice activists. If you are looking for a singular and relaxing experience this can be your house in Panama.
