The room has a king-size bed and mini-fridge. 5 min away from grocery, liquor store, restaurants. QEII Hospital: 10 min walk Downtown: 25 min walk Waterfront: 30 min walk. I am Queer and Trans friendly and anti-racist. The House is not wheelchair accessible; there are 2 flights of stairs. This is not a scent free space due to some cleaning products and it being a shared home.

The space
This is a good sized room. You have shared access to the bathroom, a washer and dryer. No assess to kitchen. Your room has a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc. All the essentials. This is a 3 bedroom apartment, and your room has a lock on the door from the rest of the flat. So it's very private. I love this location because it's easy access to downtown and major attractions but still in a quiet neighbourhood. On major bus routes and it's a 5 minute cab (or 25 min walk) to downtown. Some people think that is close to downtown and some people find it far. All depends on your perspective. All we can say is that by Halifax standards it's extremely central and a very easy walk downtown. QEII Hospital: 10 min walk Spring Garden Rd (downtown): 15 min walk Waterfront: 25 min walk

Guest access
Your room us up 2 flights of stairs. Your room is private and locks. Shared access to the washroom. And shared access to washer and dryer.

Location

Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

The Quinpool District of Halifax is my personal favourite because it's close to all of the fun but far enough to get a quiet sleep. The flat is a 2 minute walk to necessities such as groceries, wine/beer store, pharmacy, gas station and all main public transit stops. Yukon Street is located two streets parallel to Quinpool Road, home to some of Halifax's most diverse and affordable restaurants, pubs and diners (Greek, Mediterranean, Korean, Chinese, Sushi, etc.) Everything you could possibly want is a five minute walk from the flat. Some people think we are close to downtown and some people find it far. All depends on your perspective. All we can say is that by Halifax standards it's extremely central and a very easy walk downtown. The Halifax Commons, including basketball, tennis courts, baseball fields and skate park) are a few blocks away from the space - about a 10 minute walk. There is also a public swimming pool and kids park including a fun water feature for the young ones. If you want to explore the Downtown core or the artsy and hip North End, they are only a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive away.

Hi! My name is Lee-Anne. I work in the arts in Halifax. I (when I can) write, and mostly do arts and festival administration. I have one dog and one cat. And we rent out our spare bedrooms on Airbnb. I love Halifax. It's a small and walkable city and I'm happy to answer any questions you want to send my way.

During your stay
I live in the apartment (bonus, you'll never be locked out!), but on the floor above. I give an initial tour of the space and then it's all yours. I leave a "Halifax Manual" in your room with all necessities and recommendations listed (WIFI password, fave restaurants, emergency info, etc.) but I'm certainly free by phone or text to answer any questions you may have. I am pretty private and will certainly respect your privacy. Check in is anytime after 3 pm, check out at 11 am, unless the apartment isn't booked before/after, in which case it's flexible.
