Ideal studio for a single, a couple or a parent and child over 5 years. Cosy, quiet, with access to garden, 10 minutes walk to the fantastic town of Frome! Bed-sitting area, ensuite bathroom and kitchenette, separate entrance. A beautiful walk through the protected Rodden Meadows brings you into the town centre, full of independent shops and renowned performance venue The Cheese and Grain.
Covid Update 2021. Please send an enquiry if your circumstances allow you to stay during lockdown.

The space
The Studio has been updated during lockdown to make it easier to self cater. As well as a microwave, toaster, kettle and egg boiler, I have added a single induction cooking hob. There is now a fold up table and chairs for dining or using laptop. There are enough utensils to prepare basic food plus a small fridge. There is no kitchen sink so crockery has to be washed in bathroom or in bowl provided. I am also happy to put dishes through my dishwasher. In order to protect against cross infection, I am no longer providing teas and coffee . I will keep reviewing this.

The bed is a queen sized double with a very comfortable mattress.

TV has been updated to a flat screen and receives Freeview. There is a DVD player with selection of DVDs, plus a selection of books.

Guests are welcome to use the garden which has a sitting area.

The shower is new and large - enough space for two!

The studio is heated with far infra-red panels - a new technology that is extremely energy efficient as well as being healthy for the body. It is particularly good for allergy sufferers as it does not cause the air to circulate (therefore circulating dust). One of the panels is disguised as a painting of buddha - radiating warmth into body and soul!

Bilbo the cat lives in the main house and if you like cats you may enjoy a few moments of cat love with him.

Where you’ll be

Somerset, England, United Kingdom

The studio is behind my house on a quiet residential street of semi-detached 1930s homes.

Frome is extremely popular for its Independent Markets which happen on the first Sunday of every month (except January and February). The town is closed to traffic and taken over by a huge range of amazing independent makers and producers including a delicious selection of local food and live music. There is also a second hand market in the Cheese and Grain carpark. There is so much to see and eat, it has become a popular destination from far and wide. You can walk from the Studio along the river and arrive right in the centre of things.

As well as the market Frome is also known for its support of independent shops which makes the town a great place to find unique and quality products.

I am a Health Coach and counsellor and have brought the two together into a unique approach to mental wellbeing that I call Mood Coaching. I specialise in the impact of nutrition, diet and lifestyle on mood balance and physical wellbeing. Some guests take the opportunity during their stay to book a consultation with me. Health and wellbeing are crucial during these Covid times. Message me if interested. I moved from Devon to Frome in 2016 and love being in a town again with lots going on as well as having access to the countryside. I used to live in a spiritual community and am interested in alternative ways of living and thinking. I love nature, gardening, my cat, reading, riding my e-bike, inventing and discovering new recipes, and enjoying good conversation with good friends.
