Love this small house.... especially the back porch. I'm a outside kind of person and need a place outdoors to escape to at the end of the day. This house has the perfect spot. Enclosed back yard with a great back porch. While it was warmer weather, Katie came back to hook up an extra fan on the porch for us. He house was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Neighbors were a little louder than we expected and at late hours. House could use a little bit of an update; couch pretty uncomfortable but the beds were fine and we were only just sleeping mainly.

This home is well decorated and supplied with all the things you need for a comfortable stay. It can be noisy and parking is very tight if you have an SUV, but the value is good and the town is fun and has good restaurants and shops. It also is close to other cities and attractions. The hostess could not be more helpful and nice. Katie was great!

Something you should know about Katies place is that its like walking into a home away from home. Don't over pack! From the personal welcome to the little personalized touches throughout the house, you will feel at home and so very comfortable!

Katie is very nice and helpful. That is a pro. Although I had nothing bad happen, I wish I would have asked more questions about the neighborhood. It is pretty sketchy. The next door neighbors had a boom box going and cars parked on the lawn. Part of the charm is the older home. That said, the house has a strong musty/moldy smell to It. It got better as the temperature improved. It was 80 degrees inside the house when we got there. I live in the south and a coastal area. I get that cooling homes can be challenging. I wish the owner would have turned the a.c. down a couple of hours before we arrived. We stayed in contact with our eta. Overall it was pretty clean. Not so much with the bathroom, but it wasn't gross. The trash can was full.

Response from Katie:
Terri, Re: Your review for your one night stay: My apologies for the neighbor noise. I will speak with them about it. Thanks for letting me know. The listing clearly states 1953 cajun cottage. The neighborhood is older and very diverse in rich culture. My apologies for the older home smell and temperature. I'm going to add a window unit to assist in cooling, as the central unit simply can't keep up in Louisiana Hot Summer weather. Due to your late check in, I was unable to meet you there and turn AC down prior. I have two small children. Again, my apologies. I hope I have addressed all of your concerns. Also, the cleaning person must have forgotten to take out the bathroom trash. I'll address that as well. To my knowledge, that's the first time that has happened. All in all, I hope all of my area suggestions sent to you for restaurants, dancing, music...etc went well and that you enjoyed your brief one night stay in Breaux Bridge LA.

This was not our first visit to Breaux Bridge but it was our best so far. Katie's home is very well equipped and comfortable. Great A/C and furnished very nicely. Pictures are totally accurate. Back porch is a great spot to hang out under the ceiling fan. Home is very clean and Katie leaves lots of little notes so you know where to find things. Thanks Katie! We will be back for more Cajun food and music! Love Breaux Bridge!
