Treat yourself & stay at my remodelled spacious 5 star apartment arranged with luxurious comfort, convenience & free wifi. Immerse yourself in the historical district. Staying across from Christ Church, you are at the cultural heart, flanked by Dublin Castle, St. Patrick's & the Guinness Storehouse, Jameson Distillery, Vicar Street venue minutes away. Temple Bar, Smock Alley, Trinity College, Museums, Grafton Street shops, all a short walk away. Come make memories here, they'll last a lifetime.

The space

My apartment is a tranquil oasis in the midst of a city buzzing with excitement and oozing history through the ages. Christ Church Cathedral is almost 1000 years old while Jonathan Swift, author of "Gulliver's Travels" is buried in Saint Patrick's, just 5 minutes away. Every window frames a historic view and an architectural feast.

Guest access

You'll have the full enjoyment of the apartment. And a library of books on Ireland, heritage and Dublin City.

Interaction with guests

I am available by phone or text for the duration of your stay and before you arrive. If you have any particular interest and you would like me to check what's on in Dublin ahead of your arrival, you only need to ask. Art, Drama, sporting events, concerts etc ...

Other things to note

All access to the apartment building is via secure electronic gates and doors from Nicholas Street. I will supply two Electronic fobs and keys per booking. These must be returned at the end of your reservation or there will be a lost fee of €60 each.

The Samsung Washer/Dryer is a european size. The washing machine door has a automatic lock mechanism which will not allow the door to be opened for 3 minutes after a wash has completed. Please wait for the signal to unlock the door otherwise you will break the door handle.
It washes first and then there is a dry cycle. The dry cycle dries a modest amount of clothes, like a few shirts, slips, socks at a time, not like an American dryer or washing machine, it won't be able to take a family load at once. My sheets and towels are taken out and laundered, I do not wash them at the apartment for this reason.

Quit looking and stay here! The place is lovely and in a super spot! You are close to everything...but quiet when you’re home. The apartment was clean and nicely decorated, beds are comfy, showers are warm, and WiFi is strong. Not much else to ask for! You are a 5 minute walk to Temple Bar area, Brazen Head, and Guiness. Helen is an excellent host and responds quickly to whatever you need. Can’t say enough about this amazing place.

Wow. I had already expected a great stay at Helen's place, but wow – above and beyond. I can't say enough about Helen's hospitality, kindness, and responsiveness! We had a fantastic time, and I'd definitely recommend to a family or group looking or a central location in Dublin (also super close to an Airlink stop for travel to/from the airport). My family was traveling to Dublin to celebrate some milestone birthdays, and she even left us a cake (which we obviously devoured). Stop looking, stay here.

Response from Helen:
Thank you Eric, it warmed my heart that you and your siblings were treating your folks for their birthday with a trip to Ireland. It was a pleasure to meet you and your family, delighted that you also got home before Hurricane Ophelia decided to visit Ireland! Thank you for a lovely review.

There isn't enough I can say about Helen and my experience at her place. For starters our flight was getting in very early and she let us check in a whole 5 hours early. Met us at the gate where her pictures mentioned and it was just a lovely beginning. She is one of the nicest people my family and I have ever met and a wonderful first impression of the hospitality that Irish folks have. She was so through in her explainations of everything and even left the apartment well stocked with food and beverages. Helen checked in on us daily via email to see how our stay was and with suggestions in the city. I will be recommending Helen's place to everyone I know back in New York. What a beautiful beautiful place you have Helen!

Amber, what very thoughtful and kind words, thank you so much. I'm really delighted that you had such a positive experience. Glad that your expectations were fulfilled, both myself and Ireland will welcome you back with open arms.

Helen was the perfect hostess, meeting us at the curb and even helping us with our luggage! She took special care to get us extra towels and had everything one could wish for - snacks and drinks, maps and a stack of wonderful books on Ireland. She was attentive and communicative, sending us ideas for eating and sightseeing. It was a joy to have that wonderful apartment for our Dublin home base. Thank you, Helen! (Four adults, no kids )

Response from Helen:
The apartment has two large bedrooms, one with a King size bed with ensuite, and the other with a double bed and a single bed. In addition there is a sleeper sofa in the large living area. All my previous reviews indicate how spacious my apartment is. But I have to say, that although I only did you a favor at 7pm at night with no advance notice because you did not like your original booked room or hotel, I have never witnessed 6 guests with as much luggage as you had.

Hello! Why does the idea of talking about oneself strike fear in one's heart, is it that we're just too bashful or the subject matter might be boring, ha. I'm a mother of two young adults, a son whose taking the scenic route through life and a daughter who is kicking and screaming through a science degree, which automatically makes me a human ATM machine. To survive motherhood I took up running some years ago and have ran many International Marathons including some of the majors New York, Boston, London, Paris, San Francisco all of which I qualified for where necessary. I'm a glass half full type of person and certainly believe that if plan A doesn't work, there's always plan B, C, etc.,. I enjoy meeting people and hosting with Airbnb has been a terrific experience for me in that regard. In general I love to see people enjoying life and if I can help them in that goal, all the better. I'm a believer in karma and thus each day is an opportunity to do something good and make people happy. Of course , I have a huge work ethic and I like to give a 100% to whatever I'm working on. I'm a cleanliness freak, having had a bad experience in what I thought was a good hotel in London, long story short, I jumped into bed after a long day in London and a late theatre night, in the morning when I woke, I noticed there was a brown coffee stain on my sheet, obviously the sheets had not been changed, I was Not a happy camper! Who would have thought, needless to say, I check wherever I stay now!
I love Dublin city and the people, I'm a Dubliner even though my Dad hailed from County Kerry (the California of Ireland), and my Mum from County Westmeath. I love to pretend to be a tourist in my own city, the things you notice and discover, always something new. Life always has moments to be recorded, thus the advent of phones with cameras has enabled me to embrace my other passion, photography, I think I have at least 20,000 photos, thank goodness for iCloud.
Hope all that didn't bore you too much, have a wonderful day, Namaste.:-)
