Great space, above ground private basement with large windows with kitchenette. 2.5 acres has great peace and quiet, trails, river and near the ocean. ( 8 minute drive ) The space has a living room, a queen bed in the bedroom, and a sectional couch that could sleep 2 children. You can often hire the host to take you kayaking in the ocean. Sea lions seen often. This is like a suite as guests have their own door and private accommodation with 4 piece bath. Well liked by all guests. "Great value"

This place was amazing! Great bang for buck! Not far from Parksville and Nanoose, and a quick drive to Nanaimo. Would stay here over any of the local hotels anytime (and we've tried most as we visit family regularly). Steve was extremely accommodating, friendly, communicative and helpful. The place was extremely clean, comfortable, private and roomy! This visit was family focused so we didnt have much time for leisure activities. My one regret is that we weren't able to take Steve up on his offer of Kayaking out in the bay :( Our favourite part was the huge windows overlooking a sweeping yard where rabbits played and his wonderful and friendly dog Jack roamed during the day. (Jack was lovely, 10/10 would pet again ;) ) Far enough from the city to be away from all the noise. The night sky was beautiful, we spent a lot of time gazing at the super clear starscape (something you dont get from the city). Definitely recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay at Steve's place. It was as described and Steve was very welcoming upon our arrival and gave us a great suggestion for dinner (located on the water with a great view). We were looking at properties to purchase and had a tight schedule so we were gone most of the time and mostly slept there. It was a great value. Thanks Steve!

A great quiet place to stay that's between Nanaimo, Parksville, and close enough to Ucluelet + Tofino for day trips. The host had great advice for what to do and our guided evening kayak session was a highlight. The home is clean and private. We had a wonderful stay.
