This is a lovely clean place with great AC and Wifi, it's all new and the hosts are lovely. But the place is built to look good but not be used. There is no soundproofing so you heard your neighbours, the businesses and the mosque nearby. There is no hooks, rails or cupboards to store anything. Breakfasts are so small and after the previous reviews I was really looking forward to fresh fruit and fruit juice neither offered, the scrambled eggs where about enough for a 10year old. This place costs 500k a night if it cost 300k I would have been happy but for this price I want a lot more.

Dear John. A sincere thank you for a sincere feedback. We are sorry, that you did not sleep well all the time. We are in a constant dialogue with the nighbours to make sure that our guests get the peace and quietness they deserve. About the breakfast, we are terribly sorry that you felt it was not enough. Be assured that we aim at serving quality and healthy food in sufficient quantity. And finally, you are totally right, when you say that the hooks and cloths storage is missing. It is currently being ordered from local craftsmen, we know its missig. Anyway John, your feedback is very valuable to us and we will constatntly work on improving and hope that we will be able to deliver what we aim at very soon!

I was very surprised with how beautifully done the place was. Very clean, very airy. Breakfast was good. The place is very central to the rest of the town, easily accessible to the Harbour and restaurants.

I loved it! Beautiful new cottages. Comfy big bed and a really nice bathroom (outside, with roof). It's totally clean and the AC is working perfectly. You have also a terrace, where you get your breakfast, which was very good. You can hear the other guests quite good, so if there are children or party people, it can be a little bit annoying sometimes. But nevertheless, I would definitely come back!

Dear Eva, thanks a lot for your feedback, which is very valuable to us. It shows us where we can improve - and will improve. We already took up the issue with the nighbours, which are sometimes partying and we are confident that there will be a solution, so that our gustes get the peace and quiteness they deserve. Anyway, thanks again, it was lovely meeting you and hopw to see you back soon.

Hi. I really enjoyed staying at MO's. The room is confortable and clean. Very close to the harbour, restaurants, and beaches. But what I really appreciated is Rizal was very helpful: he picked me up at the harbour because I was a little bit sick the day of my arrival, he gave me suggestions to go to Lambok Sengiggi, let me use his bike, and as a the host was available to discuss and share slices of life.. :-)

I choose to stay here because the location is very near the harbour. It's quite, clean and near the street, was worth it and the family are kind and helpful. I really enjoy my stay.

I spent a week at OMALA Village and I want to say thanks to Esther for the wonderful house she created. I'll tell in order: OMALA Village is a new place. I booked a bungalow a week before I arrived. On the AirBnB website was no comments about this place, and it frightened me at first, but in personal correspondence Esther was very friendly and hospitable, and I decided to come. The location is not far from the harbor, so it is not difficult to find it. There are many shops and cafes, but in the village is quite. To the beach where there is no low tide to go about 5 minutes, to the part of the island where you can meet sunrise and sunset 20 minutes. Omala village consists of 6-7 bungalows with a separate entrance and a large open area outside. Inside the bungalow is very beautiful, clean and cozy, it smells of wood. There is air conditioning and a fan, a spacious bathroom and a veranda. I stayed in Omala from 22.07.17 to 29.07.17. I was one of the first guests, and the territory outside was not finished yet, but many new plants are planted, the employees care about them very much, I think, there will be a beautiful garden soon. There are breakfasts, usually coffee / tea, an scramble with toasts or a pancake with a banana, fruit and juice. Everything is very delicious. The place is perfect for a quiet holiday. This place is suitable for both spending the night and for a long holiday. I want to thank Rizal, he is very caring, helps in everything. He loves this place and ennobles it. It was sad for me to leave, but Omala Village is the place I want to return to, and I'm sure I'll stop there when I come next time.) Terimakasi! Saya harap semua akan baik.❤️

Our family has been going to the gili Islands since the 80ties, back in the days when it took ages to get there. The OMALA project is a project of the heart as we had actually started through an unexpected opportunity to buy the land. The initial idea was for us and the kids to have a home on our beloved Gili Islands. Since now so many people share our affection for the islands, we aim to create a simple, quiet and ecolocical place for people to relax and enjoy the the blue water, the beauty and serenity of the place.
Together with parts of the extended family I am managing the OMALA Village Gili Air and we hope that our guests will have an equally wonderful time as we still have on our shining blue and green island.
