"Glamping in the Mountains"
This Bunk House offers a bed and a sofa. We call this “glamping” and you should keep in mind that the Bunk House relies on “outdoor” plumbing if not rented in conjunction with our Wolf Mountain Cabin.

When you're glamping, there's no tent to pitch, no sleeping bag to unroll, no "journey" to use a bathroom. Whether in a tent, yurt, airstream, pod, igloo, hut, villa, cabin, cube, teepee or treehouse, glamping is a way to experience the great outdoors!

Our stay at the BearTrail cabin was wonderful. Communication with our host was quick and very helpful, even when we asked for a late check in. Everything was perfectly suited to a rustic mountain getaway - and you really are in the heart of Pisgah woods. The cabin was cozy and clean with no sign of bugs (something I'm always nervous about in nature but it was completely unnecessary here). All the little details made up such a pleasant stay...candles, firewood, maps, garbage can, outlets, bug repellent, mini fridge, fan, space heater, extra lightbulb, etc. In addition to a bed, there's also a couch. Outside there's a hammock, fire pit, picnic table with chairs, and port a potty type thing (hiding behind some Christmas trees near the cabin). It's the most convenient camping environment ever. The scenery was breathtaking. The only downside was not being able to spend more time there! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful and natural cabin/camping experience. One tip for visitors: Don't attempt to check in late at night like we did! Driving the Blue Ridge parkway at night in the fog/rain with no cell GPS service was not a good idea. It's much easier to access by day, plus it'll give you more time to enjoy the gorgeous cabin site!

Terry was awesome! This is little cabin was really cute. It was like camping but with a comfy bed to sleep in. Terry was very friendly and actually came over to chat when we arrived. He suggested cool hikes and gave us permission to explore the area around and above the cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hammock was also a nice touch.

This cabin is amazing! A friend & I found this place and we couldn't turn it down. The only main concern we have are the directions to this area & how tricky it can be to pass it, gps will make you go everywhere. Other than that, we couldn't of been happier in this cabin...there was so much provided inside and out, nice little fire pit as well along with pre cut wood for you! I hope we can make it out here again. Definitely recommend for couples or some friends wanting to be tucked away in the mountains who want a quiet and scenic place to stay.

If you are looking for a base camp to explore Panther Town or just want to get away from it all without the inconveniences of actually camping then this is the place for you. The bunkhouse is located on a beautiful piece of property. Climb the hill to the lookout tower and watch the sun go down and the stars come out.
