The space
Escape the city and chill out by the cosy wood fire with views of the southern ocean. Rustic charm, unique surrounds and a peaceful well appointed open plan space with magnificent views. short private walk access to the Isthmus beach only minutes away, you can walk from here north as far as Cape Queen Elizabeth.
Warm and sunny guest rooms with garden and ocean views .
The galley kitchen and dining living space all melt together, double sliding glass doors open onto a large 15 x 4 metre outside deck area that offers private nooks to relax and read, outside feast table , sunbathe or simply look and listen to the birds and southern ocean.
My garden and surrounding bush land is frequented by a large variety of bird life.
You can be lucky to see yellow tailed black cockatoo, white bellied sea eagles, new holland honeyeater swift parrots, honey eaters, fire tails, swallows, tree martin's. forest ravens, blackbirds, superb fairy wren, green Rosella , common bronze wing , spotted pardalotte, (occasionally) yellow wattlebird, strong billed honeyeater, pink robin, scarlet robin, dusky robin, olive whistler ,black faced cuckoo shrike, dusky wood swallow, laughing kookaburra, grey shrike thrush, collared sparrow hawk and delighted to say swift parrots nesting locally.
Some migratory offer a seasonal delight.
Water supply for the house is rain water, lovely for your hair and delicious to drink. Makes a fine pot of tea.
Gas cooking and hot water.
Only 25 minutes drive from the Roberts Point ferry terminal.

- Galley kitchen is fully equipped with spices , olive oil, butter and a range of condiments to use. A gas cook top/ microwave/convection oven and very handy bbq .

Other things to note
Bathroom facilities are a large shower bay , deep claw bath with ocean view , large vanity, toilet and washing machine.
A spare single floor bed for a fifth person or child could be arranged on request,
No Smoking in the lodge thank you, there is a fabulous view from the seats on the front verandah to smoke in the fresh air, please dispose of your butts respectfully so I dont find them later in my garden or plant pots.
Rain water is free, but when it runs out its expensive to have delivered, it's treated and tastes awful. please use this precious commodity with consideration and respect. Thankyou.

My home is private, with a magnificent ocean just minutes walk away, the sound of the ocean is a constant lullaby.
Ocean view is situated close to many popular beaches and amenities. shoo medical centre, chemist, fire station, bowls club, tennis court. churches, local hall , pub eateries, Pennicot tours.
All of these are close by.



We are fortunate to have an exciting population of birds on Bruny many of which frequent this neighbourhood and my garden as well as a local population of shy wildlife , hence the no cats or dogs policy.
The Island Fudge Factory is 3.min walk.away.
Berry Farm is seasonal 4.min by car. Bruny hotel uses fresh local produce only 15 min drive away at Allonah, a good idea to book a table at the hotel to secure a meal. Bruny cheese offer lunch options, along with the ' Get shucked ' for fresh oysters.
The local winery is half an hour away and offers a superb lunch menu..
Get Shucked 10 min by car for a superb oyster lunch.
Bruny Cheese 10 min.by car for a selection of choices or lunch beer , wine, cheese, good ch coffee.
Local shop 6 min by car offers a small supermarket, take aways, next door to Penguin Cafe.
