Welcome to Medicine Park! “Home on the Rock” is an inviting A-frame located on Big Rock Road, a windy back road full of beautiful private homes and quirky cabins. My family and I love our home and are honored to share it with you. Come relax on the deck and watch the birds and the deer, or on cold evenings sit in front of the fireplace—I promise, you’ll feel hours away from the noise of the city instead of minutes.

Location

Medicine Park, Oklahoma, United States

Medicine Park (www.medicinepark.com)
Activities: Bath Lake, fishing, hiking, Base Camp Adventure Outfitters https://www.facebook.com/basecampmedicinepark/, Lake Lawtonka www.lakelubbers.com/lake-lawtonka-725/ and Mount Scott and the Wichita Wildlife Refuge https://www.fws.gov/refuge/Wichita_Mountains/visit/plan_your_visit.html will keep you busy! The wildlife refuge has trails for all skill levels, and easy hikes done on Saturday mornings that can be coordinated at the visitor center. Our music festivals draw thousands www.facebook.com/Medicine-Park-Events-192185680808519/, so get your reservations in early on festival weekends.

Restaurants like Cock Eyed Bobs www.facebook.com/CockEyed-Bobs-Cobblestone-Cafe-428220950672417/, Old Plantation Inn www.theoldplantationrestaurant.com/, Riverside Café, The Park Tavern www.facebook.com/parktavernMP/, Ann’s Country Kitchen www.facebook.com/Anns-Country-Kitchen-327938760634231/, Mrs. Chadwick’s and Cobblescones will keep you happy and send you back to the cabin with left-overs.

For those who don’t want to get too far into the wilderness, it’s easy to forget that Lawton is 15 miles away, with shopping, dining, casinos http://apachecasinohotel.com/, museums like the Great Plains Museum www.discovermgp.org/, the Comanche Museum and Cultural Center http://www.comanchemuseum.com/, and the Ft. Sill Museum www.army.mil/Museum/FSNHLM/. Speaking of Ft. Sill…they only graduate from Basic Training ONCE. Stay in Medicine Park and make it memorable.

Finally, if you can walk into Comanche Shirt Company www.comancheshirtcompany.com/ or the Red Door Gallery www.reddoor-mp.com/ and leave empty handed, you have more willpower than I do! Everyone in this magical community knows in our hearts that “life’s better at the park.” I hope that in sharing our home, you’ll come to love this area too.

I believe it is better to buy experiences than it is to buy things. It also makes you more interesting. I am an avid Airbnb consumer (Peru, Aruba, Boston, Des Moines, and coming soon Nice, France) who is thrilled to be able to offer an amazing home to fellow adventurers, and in a truly magical area. The waters of Medicine Park are said to be medicinal...I promise, the air is too. It's just different here.
