Our penthouse is on the 6th floor with elevator. It has two bedrooms and two fully equipped bathrooms, living room with an open kitchen, a 15sqm terrace, and a free parking spot. The apartment is 1,1km or 15 walking mins south of KDW.

The space

Welcome to our fully furnished luxury penthouse condo. Nestled amidst the treetops of Berlin, we are conveniently located only 15 walking minutes to the famous KaDeWe shopping center and 5 minutes (390 meters) to the next subway and gas station.
Our condo is elegantly furnished with modern splashes of color, 11 foot high ceilings, and lots of natural light spilling in to greet you every day. You will enjoy our private terrace for sunrise breakfasts or afternoon pleasures. And if it gets too hot, cool down with the automated awning for instant shade.
The condo has a spacious and cheery open floor plan with high end furnishings throughout, complete with granite countertops in the kitchen, designer lighting and Miele appliances. There are 2 private bedrooms (one master and one guest) and 2 bathrooms - both with toilet and shower cabin; the master bathroom also has a bath tub. Large, hotel quality towels, bed linens and washer/dryer are also provided.
In the evening our condo becomes a cozy, warmly lit retreat, with stretch-out-your-legs sofas and pillows for relaxing, or gazing at the Berlin night sky from the terrace after a busy day sightseeing in Berlin.
There is a children's playground nearby which may be a bit louder during the day time.

Guest access

You will have access to the whole apartment. The apartment is fully equipped, so towels, bedsheets, cutlery, silverware etc. will all be provided. The parking spot is right in front of our house.

Interaction with guests

I will most likely welcome you upon your arrival or departure - depending on if I am out of town or not. You can always reach me via Email or Phone if you have any questions about the apartment or Berlin-travel.

Other things to note

When we are in Berlin we rent out the guest room over airbnb. When we are out of town we rent the whole apartment - that is why you will not find so many reviews for the whole apartment-add. You can check the reviews in the second add - it is the same apartment.

Frank’s apartment is one of the nicest we have stayed at. Everything inside the apartment is top quality and very nice condition. We had no issues the entire time of our stay and it was a very quiet street to rest up at night. It is a few minute walk to the taxi stand or the metro station to get anywhere in the city. There are several cafes within minutes walk also.

My mother, sister-in-law and I had a fantastic stay at Frank's apartment in Wilmersdorf's Prater Platz in Berlin. I could not have found a more gracious host or a more well appointed and conveniently located apartment for my elderly mother's once-in-a-lifetime visit to Berlin to see the great museums and art of a very lovely and vibrant city. Frank greeted us when we arrived with fresh squeezed orange juice, provided a very helpful guide to the city and how the apartment's appliances worked and was a gracious host in every well. The apartment is stylish, comfortable and well appointed; so well appointed that we were tempted to cook more than eating out. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed a wonderful view of the city from the dining table and the terrace. The only thing I would have changed was that we left too soon.

We could not have picked a better place to stay while in Berlin. The location is excellent - one block from two grocery stores, cafe's and restaurants, and two blocks from the U-bahn station. At the same time, it is secluded enough that I was able to work a couple of days with no distractions. The apartment was just as advertised. Spotless, roomy and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Berlin.

The apartment was really great. We had a conference in Berlin, and Frank's apartment was located ideally, in a quiet area, close enough to everything. Frank was a great host, very caring and with an eye for detail. We felt like we booked a luxury hotel. Thank you for everything and I can recommend this place anyone!

We had a wonderful experience at Frank's! The apartment is huge, beautifully decorated, fully equipped (appliances, essentials, kitchen - everything you need, down to the last spice!), clean and convenient. The apartment is located in a quiet area, yet well-connected by public transport and close to shops etc. We felt as though every single detail was thought of. Frank was easy to communicate with throughout the entire process of booking and arrival, and was very welcoming and helpful, and a great host overall. We highly recommend staying in the property!

Frank met us at the apartment with fresh squeezed orange juice and ground coffee. He provided us with lots of useful information on Berlin and what to see. The apartment is beautiful and fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms. He provided coffee and spices to use in the kitchen and bought us Glu wine and Christmas stollen as a welcome gift. Very thoughtful of frank! The luxurious bathrooms were stocked with shampoos and bath gels. The apartment was gorgeous and comfortable. A perfect experience! Thanks Frank.

Frank User ProfileFrank is a superhost.

My life motto is: treat people the way you want to be treated, and do it first. So I like to host people and provide a safe, clean and interesting visit to Berlin. My partner Jim and I have bought this place in 2006 and we do have a quite large guest room which hosts three people. When we are out of town we can also leave our whole apartment for families with children or two couples, for example. In my first job I worked as a classical ballet dancer at the German State opera, but when getting older I had to find something new. So I studied Economics and Psychology at Lewis&Clark College in Portland, Oregon, USA and have lived there for almost 5 years. My travels have brought me to almost all over Europe, the US, Caribbean, Australia, Asia, Africa and even to the sub polar Region of Russia, where we experienced a chilly -44 Celsius in Yakutsk in January 2008. In my free time I work as a volunteer in care giving for dying people in a Hospice-network in Berlin.
