Where you’ll be

Glen Massey, Waikato, New Zealand

Our farm covers a 1000 acres of farmland with a variety of other topographical features including an ancient limestone bluff and many native and exotic tree plantations.
On our boundary is a Native Reserve, The Hakarimata Range, that has many hiking and walking trails for all abilities.
Our local town is Ngaruawahia. It has a small but well stocked supermarket, petrol stations and 6 ATM's. The Library is open 5 days a week with computers. There is the local Maori King's marae which is located on the banks of one of our major rivers, the Waikato River. In March there are maori canoes to be seen on the racing each other on the river. There is an annual celebration of the Maori Kin's coronation in August.

Pam and Malcolm own a I000 acre sheep and beef farm in North Waikato of New Zealand. Pam is a qualified teacher and works part time as a tutor. They love hosting visitors from all over the world and enjoy showing them around their beautiful farm. Visitors really enjoy seeing so many animals up close and sometimes even hand feeding lambs during the Springtime. Malcolm works on the farm full time. They both enjoy sports, especially tennis and rugby, traveling, environmental issues, world affairs, and other cultures. They feel privileged to be custodians of their land and work very hard to preserve the farm environment. They have a yearly tree planting programme that provides much needed shade for stock in summer and prevents slips during the rainy season. They have preserved stands of native trees and bush that enhance both their garden and farmland.
