Private upstairs is yours with 2 bedrooms, one queen and 2 singles. 15 minutes from downtown Savannah . Minutes from the village of Sandfly off island with restaurants One block from the intercoastal waterway . A lovely, safe place for walking A pasture, citrus and fruit trees, Organic garden for vegetables, flowers, butterflies . In the back, Chickens and an occasional deer . 20 minutes fromTybee Island and the beach. New central HVAC upstairs where your rooms are.

The space
You will have the whole upstairs to yourselves, including two bedrooms with a queen in one and a two twin beds in the second, and the semi private half bath. Of course you are welcome to use the full bath downstairs, also.
This is an old farm house with steep stairs going up to the bedrooms, so unfortunately not available for babies and small children or handicapped.
A new central HV/AC was installed upstairs during our down time last year.

Guest access
You are welcome to use the kitchen, downstairs bathroom and shower, living and dining room. You may use the washer and I have a solar dryer (clothesline) and/or there is a laundromat 5 minutes away, and shopping, restaurants, gas stations, etc.
I have listed checkin 2-8pm, but usually Im flexible on this so let me know beforehand and we'll work it out.
Please note that this space is not available for small children and infants, because of the steep steps.

During your stay
I live downstairs and will be around most of the time, and will be glad to help with any questions you may have about Savannah and our area...

Other things to note
Truly an old farmhouse.
You are welcome to sit on the back porch rocking chairs in the mornings with a cup of coffee...and relax in the hammock under the ceiling fan.
The backyard is open to explore, with an organic garden and citrus trees (you are welcome to sample) and a small pasture out back with visiting deer, and more fruit trees and native plants.

Neighbourhood highlights

Isle of Hope is a small residential island, about 20 minutes from Tybee Island and the beach and 15 minutes from downtown Savannah and Riverstreet, surrounded by marsh and the Intercoastal waterway. Wormsloe Plantation, a Kings Grant tract, takes up a large part of the island and is open most days for nature walks and museum visiting.
I love that there are all kinds of homes here, from small cottages to the large antebellum mansions on Bluff Drive, facing the Intercoastal Waterway. This is a favorite place to walk in the early morning, or evenings, and look for the dolphins feeding right offshore. The volunteer fire department is just down the road, by the neighborhood park.
