I am very surprised to read your comment, especially considering that during your stay, you didn’t mention the situation that concerns you.
As I specified in my description of the neighborhood, Bordeaux is a big/small city in transformation. One of the side effects is the presence of prostitutes in the neighborhood. This is unpleasant but certainly not a factor of insecurity, even for a woman travelling alone. As every traveler knows, this is one of the common problems of all the big cities of the world, even in posh areas of Paris!
What disappoints me is that instead of sharing your concern with me directly during your visit, you chose to publish this negative criticism publicly on the Airbnb platform about a situation that is not of my making, and that I personally cannot change.
A positive approach would have been to inform me of this concern during your visit, and write a letter to the City Hall of Bordeaux, which I have already done several times. A constructive action beneficial to all, including the dozen Airbnb apartments next to mine in the same Gare St Jean area.
Direct and constructive communication is an essential part of the Airbnb experience, and the comfort and well-being of my visitors is extremely important for me.
Best regards, Patrik
