Our Modern Industrial Guesthouse is located in the Whittier heights neighborhood. It is a perfect accommodation for anyone looking for comfortable contemporary industrial finishes.

This alley guesthouse has a hand crafted modern feel. Newly built, with simple high quality finishes inside and out, it has a feel of understated elegance.

The shared patio separates the guesthouse from our home and garden, and is a lovely spot for morning coffee or happy hour cocktails.

The space

Set back on the alley, there is parking just outside the private entrance.

The main living space is equipped with a large flat screen smart TV, Bose radio and a cozy sectional sofa that splits into two twin beds for additional sleeping.

There is a full size range and oven with microwave and a under-counter refrigerator (with very small freezer). There is also a toaster, coffee maker and mini dishwasher for convenience.

The bathroom w/ custom tiled shower is on the main level just off the kitchen, behind a sliding barn door. There is a tiny bathroom sink, but large kitchen sink is nearby.

Upstairs there is a king sized Westin Heavenly mattress bed in a bright, light-filled loft with roof & tree top views of the neighborhood. It also has a full sized closet and ceiling fan. Note: it is a bright loft and not dark for light sensitive sleepers.

Guest access

Guests have access to the patio, shared lawn and front garden. When available, guests are welcome to help themselves to anything ripe for harvest in the front vegetable garden & from fruit trees in the landscape.

Interaction with guests

Hate has NO home here.

We will be here to greet you upon your arrival and will be close by and available for questions, conversation, or neither, as you wish.

Other things to note

There is an animal on property. We have a dog named Sugi. She's a big friendly girl, and has her own space separate of the guest house and will be kept away during your stay.

We do our best to reduce, reuse, and recycle and hope that our guests will help us in our efforts to be environmentally conscious.

Naomi's guest house is a beautiful home with gracious hosts. There has been a lot of attention paid to fine details in design. The home is in a quiet but well-located neighborhood. I would absolutely stay there again!

Naomi shared tips for wonderful nearby restaurants. She even suggested we stop in the cool Georgetown neighborhood for lunch on our way in from the airport. She also left us a delicious bag of snacks and beverages. Naomi's guesthouse has great design features from the marble island to the reclaimed wood throughout. Our family enjoyed the location; it was fun to explore areas outside of downtown Seattle (like Ballard and Fremont). The garden is amazing, and the guesthouse was quiet. This is a great place for a family of four--our adult daughters slept on the twin beds downstairs (converted from the sofa), and the king mattress upstairs was comfortable. The bathroom sink is small, so we splashed a bit of water on the floor when washing our faces. We will stay again next time we are in Seattle!

Naomi's place is gorgeous. I definitely took some cues on design/ interior decoration from her and this house! Their front garden is also gorgeous and Naomi was nice enough to let us harvest whatever we liked. I had a delicious cucumber that I picked! The house is about a 20 minute Uber ride to downtown, but there are plenty of things to do nearby also. The neighborhood is very quaint and lots of options for food/ coffee/ groceries nearby (walking distance). Naomi is also very very friendly and has a beautiful daughter and dog! Sugi is the calmest/ friendliest dog I've ever met. It was love at first sight :) I would definitely stay here again if I had the chance!

Naomi's Patio Garden Guesthouse was nothing short of wonderful. My daughter and I spent eleven nights in this delightful and beautifully designed space. Not only did we spend many great nights at Naomi's but we're currently on our fourth consecutive Airbnb for the summer so I feel I'm a decent judge at the moment. The guesthouse is aesthetically pleasing in every way. The photos are very accurate and show the place well. Don't miss the green roof. It's not a huge space if that's what you're after. It's cozy, comfortable, clean, has distant views from the bedroom, and a view of a beautiful backyard from the rest of the space. Naomi and her family are laid back and welcoming. They are very comfortable either talking to you about the the area, giving helpful information or letting you be if you want privacy. I enjoyed their company very much and my daughter especially enjoyed Sugi the family dog. Sugi is very friendly and pretty much only visits if you want her to. If you're a walker you will not be disappointed in the number of places you can walk to at any time of day. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. If you don't want to walk, the drives to restaurants and activities are very short and parking was always easy. Naomi and her husband have created a gorgeous garden in the front yard and she offered to let me pick some fresh green beans, cucumber, eggplant, and some herbs to cook with. Things to note if you don't care as much as we do about architecturally beautiful spaces is that the bathroom sink is cool, but small for someone who needs tons of space. Everything you need is there though and in perfect working order. The fridge is not full size if that matters but you will be delighted by the quality of the appliances. There are lots of windows upstairs and if you don't like to wake up to a bright cheerful morning I bet Naomi will provide eye masks for you as she did for us. There's more than I'm mentioning so you'll just have to see for yourself. Oh, and there's even a parking space for you. What more could one ask for? Our stay was perfect in every way and this is coming from a woman who is pretty darn picky! We hope you enjoy yourselves as much as we did. I will definitely be going back anytime I can.

We’re a pretty low maintenance family, clean and respectful. We are hosts as well and understand what it means to care for a place like it is our own.
