Welcome to Seattle! This spacious one bedroom apartment in the heart of Ballard, one of Seattle’s most popular neighborhoods, and is just a 15-minute drive from the center of downtown Seattle. This is a completely separate, light-filled apartment within the home that I recently purchased.
You’ll have plenty of space to unwind after a long day of exploring the city with approximately 1,000 square ft. in the open floor plan apartment and access to the large backyard perfect for enjoying Seattle’s perfect summer weather. The apartment has its own separate entrance, kitchen, washer / dryer, and bathroom and I've furnished the main living space with a super comfortable West Elm sleeper sofa where you can relax by the fireplace and watch Netflix and Amazon Video, as well as a dining table. I've equipped the kitchen with all the cookware and everything you need to cook meals in or heat up leftovers from the great local restaurant scene. I added pictures with the furniture I recently added as of 10/3/17, and have Airbnb scheduled to come take professional pictures so will add those soon! There is plenty of street parking if you have a rental car, and Safeway is a 10 minute walk or short Uber/Lyft. I’ve listed as a 2 bedroom since since the apartment is furnished with a large Queen bed in one room and a Queen size sofa bed in the main living room area. More info on the Ballard neighborhood is included in the detailed description.
When you book a reservation you should get an email from August Smart home to download their app which will provide you access to the apartment using an iPhone or Android phone during your stay. I can provide real keys too if that is preferred.
Interaction with guests
I’ll be living in the main house and am happy to chat and give you some advice on what to do and see to make the most of your trip to Seattle or to give you total privacy, whatever you prefer.
Other things to note
A recent complete renovation of the home included new floors with sound-proofing, but it is still possible to hear louder noises or if someone is walking with shoes or talking loudly above since sound can travel through the HVAC system. During the week I mostly just unwind after work at night so noise should be limited, but on weekend I will occasionally have friends over for dinner and drinks. I'm past my loud partying days, but just a warning that it may not always be silent if that is important to you. Another note: kids (under 18) are free and do not count as an extra charge.
