Full private bathroom in loft with shower and mirror/medicine cabinet. Fresh towels and sundries provided.

2 Sleeping areas - There is a dedicated sleeping area with full bed on the main floor or you can use the additional loft bed with desk area above. Fresh sheets, pillowcases and comforters.

Kitchenette - Corner kitchenette with 2 electric cooktops, a large toaster oven, electric kettle, coffeemakers (drip, French press and espresso), microwave and large refrigerator. Pots and pans, glasses, plates, utensils all provided.

Closets - 2 closets, coat hooks and luggage racks.

Entrance to apartment - The apartment has a small shared entryway at the top of the stairs. Once you enter the apartment, it's completely private.

The loft is on the third floor and there are 2 flights of stairs. Being on the third floor provides a wonderful view, direct access to the back deck and quietude despite the central location.

Additional history - This is a historic landmark loft building and was Abstract painter Ad Reinhardt’s studio in the 1950s and 60s. Most of his famous black paintings were done here and are exhibited at both MOMA and the Met. The aesthetics and history of the building have been preserved by artists and photographers who have lived in this building. The back deck looks out on the back of the old Vanderbilt colonnade mansion.
