This was literally the perfect place to stay! All of my family came in from all over the country to meet up for a memorial service in San Diego. They all stayed along the beach and paid way more for their accommodations. We were about 20 minutes away from them but much more comfortable. Having the full kitchen was great and allowed us to save some money on meals and eating out. The cottage is incredibly cozy and makes you feel very welcome. Do read their directions though before checking in, as I didn't and they gave very good instructions on how to get to the entrance, I just hadn't read them.

Brad and his wife were really great. They accomdated three of us adults and my two dogs for a wedding in the San Diego area, we were all 'high stress' the whole time but it relieved us so much to find a place that met most of our needs. This little place is very central but also secluded, which is nice. They gave us plenty of space and we didn't feel bothered at all. They provided dog park options and gave me recommendations for stores and good eats in the area. I would stay here again, with only a couple downsides, it was nothing we couldn't handle. Shower water fluctuated a lot, most of the time freezing but with the hot weather in July, we coped. Unfortunately no air conditioning limited our time spent in the house a lot, but it made us get to know the city and find ways away from the heat. Brad and his wife also made sure we had plenty of fans to circulate air as much as possible and were so great helping me feel comfortable with my dogs ( which was huge for us!) Wifi wasn't totally cooperative but didnt bother us much. We also came across three cockroaches during our stay, which we squashed, and informed them cause I don't think they even knew about them and I know they'll handle it! All in all, we have had an amazing time and appreciate Brad and his wife for being such down to earth people! You can tell they are honest humans, that's hard to come by. They'll make you feel at home!

We are long time San Diego residents. Our family enjoys hiking, running and stand-up-paddleboarding . We are happy to share recommendations and insights on the local scene for outdoor activities, parks, restaurants, breweries, museums and other attractions.
