I have always awarded 5 stars before as other hosts have exceeded my expectations. I have been provided with coffee, tea, milk, cereal & usually much more, however here there was nothing at all. In the bathroom there was no shower gel, not even any soap. I've not stayed in such a bare Airbnb anywhere. I also feel the description is misleading as the listing states there's a kitchenette. But there's no kitchen sink! There's a washing up bowl, but you need to fill and empty it in the bathroom, most unhygienic! I'm glad I only booked 1 night as I wouldn't wish to stay here longer.

Response from Samantha:
Hi Stephen I'm sorry you feel your stay in the Annex wasn't satisfactory. The photos show the Annex excactly how it is, it's self catering accomodation so I am afraid we don't provide toiletries or refreshments and this has not been a problem in the past. There are plenty of cooking facilities etc in the kitchenette but a kitchenette does mean there is not always a sink which it clearly shows in the photos. But you are quite right the bathroom sink does double up as a washing up facility with a provided bowl with washing up liquid, sponge and cloths which are renewed for every new guest. We also feel that the Studio Annex is priced accordingly and we have had some very happy Guests that wish to return. Regards Sam and Leah

A well-situated self-contained annexe only 1 street from Eastbourne seafront. Super convenient for a bunch of local shops and restaurants. Basic in terms of kitchen/bathroom/bedroom, but everything you need for a short getaway. Great comms from the owners! Exactly what I needed.

I have just returned from staying a week at this lovely little studio annex. It's lovely little base with all essentials you need. The location of it to the Seafront, pier and beach is amazing and I really loved all my walks along the beach into town and various places and enjoyed late evening walks along beach too. There is a great choice of places to get something to eat just minutes away are good takeaways like Pizzas, fish & chips and little places and an excellent Sainsbury's local which I really enjoyed going to ( feeling part of the local community ) There are at least two bus stops on the Main Seaside road which are so well served by buses and when raining I took the ' Loop bus ' which dropped me right in heart of town. I didn't use it on this occasion but noted there was a laundry just five mins away on Main Seaside road which would be handy to use if staying any longer than a week. I really enjoyed my stay and was sorry to leave as Eastbourne is such a nice place , plenty to do and see particularly nice is Holywell Beach walk and if like me you like Arts The Towner gallery is a must see ...there are lots nice independant cafes in town where I enjoyed meeting family for hot chocolates! And some lovely old pubs to have a relaxing yummy Roast dinner in of a Sunday ! The studio annex was cosy, clean and so quiet & a nice change to staying in hotels in Eastbourne .( I have been staying in Eastbourne over ten years and this felt more homely than hotel stays. Communications from the hosts before & during my stay was excellent. Had a really lovely stay .

This place is perfectly situated just a couple minutes away from the beach. You couldn't get a better location! My fiancé and I had a fantastic time in Eastbourne and even tried our hand at skateboarding which the promenade was perfect for. We also spent some time running and walking along the South Downs which was just beautiful. The place itself was modest and had all the necessities. I'd use it more as a base than somewhere you can relax or stay in for the night. This isn't a problem because there is so much to do in Eastbourne and so many great places to eat.
