Beautiful newly renovated 1 bedroom self-catering cottage. Situated within a stunning barn conversion, complete with gallery and cafe on site. The cottage includes a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher. The en-suite has a bath and shower. Pets are welcome! There are plenty of fab dog walking/swimming spots locally; otherwise you can enjoy mountain walks, castles, galleries, Roman remains, horse riding, golf, cycling and much more. Please contact for info on extra bed.

The space

Beech cottage is situated within a beautiful barn conversion, complete with cottages, workshops, offices, gallery and a cafe. The renovation was carried out using local timber which was made to measure using our very own saw mill on site. There are glass and soap craft courses held on site but must be pre-booked.

Guest access

Guest are free to adventure around the outdoor space surrounding the barn and orchard.

Interaction with guests

I live next door to your cottage and work on site so will be available to you most of the time, even if you just need some herbs for your cooking!

Other things to note

We are happy for you to bring your lovely pets but would need them to remain on lead at all times when on site. The outdoor private area for the cottage is not fully enclosed sadly but there are plenty of places to go for off lead walks locally.

Helene's place was perfect and not only had everything you could need but also lots of small touches that were above and beyond a normal rental. Lovely area, lovely friendly people and hosts with super fast comm's, with a coffee and craft shop part of the building, fresh eggs just laid, faultless rental and a credit to Airbnb. Highly recommended.

This is a gem of a place to stay! We have just spent 3 days and from the time we booked it Helene has been an amazing host. She was quick to repsond to emails and was waiting for when we arrived despite being 3 hours later than we had planned to be there. The accomoadtion is just as you see it on the website but what made the differece was the little extras that Helene provided. There was a towel to dry our dog , a special balnket for him to sit on , tea and coffee in the cupboard as well as some milk in the fridge and Welsh cakes to eat with our cup of tea. The whole area is beauitful and lots of great walks for our dog. The gallery next door is worth taking a look in and Helene's father will be there to offer a warm welcome and a cup of coffee. I highly reccomend this lovely little cottage.

We are just home after staying here from Friday to today. The owners Helene and Rob and dad are very welcoming and friendly. The accommodation was spot on, clean bright and cosy. Great place to explore Usk and beyond. We also went to Barry, and Ross on Wye as well as stopping off to look at the river and views. Didn't get chance to visit the gallery as it was closed today but plenty of good writeups about the quality of the gifts, jewellery and glass etc. Would deffo recommend this place. The owners are dog lovers so that helps make the stay more chilled and there are 2 cats, ducks and hens too. We had a present of freshly laid eggs on our doorstep yesterday which was a nice thought. We had a great weekend. Thanks Helene and Rob
