Custom-crafted waterfront retreat on 3-acre property. An ideal getaway spot offering privacy, deluxe accommodations, and stunning seascapes & grand sunsets to enjoy from the deck. Launch your kayak in the bay. Take a 10 min. walk to the shops and services in Lund. Walking/hiking trails nearby. Pet friendly.

The space
Open the door to a warm west coast ambience and a striking ocean vista.

• Open-concept studio design on two levels;
west facing all-window wall.
• Custom-milled Douglas Fir exposed beams, trim and floors throughout.
• Cozy sitting area with books & board games. No TV so prepare to unplug & unwind
• Wifi. Cell reception is generally good.
• 3-piece bathroom with stand-up shower; heated tile floor.
• Queen-size bed with awesome ocean view.

The cabin’s open layout is ideally suited for two, but a snug sleeping loft (not quite full height) can accommodate older children or adults agile enough to manage the ladder access. A sofa bed provides another sleeping option.

Fully-equipped kitchen features local maple counters, new gas stove, full fridge with ample freezer space, standard small appliances, basic condiments and all the cookware needed to prepare a gourmet meal or casual BBQ.

Step outside to
• Relax on the front deck and survey the mesmerizing scene: ocean and islands, abundant sea life - even passing whales or sea lions, if you’re lucky - sunsets and starry skies. Or
• Enjoy a read on the shaded back deck in a treed setting.
• Swim - wade in at the beach beside you or dive off the rocks out front.
• Rinse off at the outdoor shower.
• Launch your kayak or paddle board

There’s much to do nearby – hiking, boating, fishing, kayaking, exploring. (See the "Neighbourhood" section below for details.) Or just do nothing. It's sublime!

Where you’ll be

Lund, British Columbia, Canada

We’re on a dead-end road, so neither traffic nor security is a concern.

Feel like exploring the area?

Take a 10-minute stroll down tree-lined roads and along the unique seaside boardwalk to the tiny village of Lund.  There you'll find restaurants, a bakery (its cinnamon buns are legendary), a general store with liquor outlet, and shops featuring local artisans’ wares. You can also
• Hop on the water taxi to Savary Island's sandy beaches
• Rent a kayak and paddle to Copeland (Ragged) Islands Marine Park
• Book a dinner cruise to the spectacularly scenic waters of Desolation Sound
• Charter the zodiac for a Tla’amin Nation cultural tour.

The Sunshine Coast Trail is a fairly easy trek or 10-minute drive away. Several other wooded trails are also close by.

Check out the Welcome to Lund website (lundbc.ca) for a full listing of attractions and services.

Further from The Point, a half hour drive brings you to the small city of Powell River with a surprising array of dining options, shops featuring local arts, the Historic Townsite, a designated Canadian Heritage Site, fresh and salt water swimming beaches, easy walking trails, and access to the region’s extensive lake system which encompasses the Powell Forest Canoe Route.

My partner Karl and I are both ex-urbanites who many years ago luckily discovered the joys of living in this beautiful area. We share the property with our young lab, Kip, and two mature cats. An avid fly-fisher and all-round outdoorsman, Karl has extensively explored the local backcountry (and much of BC). I enjoyed a long career with the Powell River regional government. Together, we have a wealth of knowledge about the region - its special places, its character and its quirks – which we look forward to sharing with our guests .
