Ciaran's House is ideally located for those who want to enjoy the countryside and explore Skellig islands. His House is clean and comfortable with original nautical unique objects (that you can find in a shop in the Cahersiveen main street). In the sunny day you can see amazing sunsets from his house. Ciaran is a great host with a real interest of what to do and to eat in the area. His handmade jams are very good...absolutely to try!

The value and location deserve more than 5 stars. Ciaran was helpful with suggestions for our trips out, and breakfast was delicious.

My stay at Ciaran's was really nice. His house is located at a beautiful spot, in the middle of an amazing landscape. His house is large, and so are the rooms. Ciaran is very friendly, helpful and caring; he gave me advice for my tour and had a solution to every question. Perfect for one- or two night stays. Anytime again

Myself and my family stayed at Ciarans place at the start of August 2016 Ciarans was a very helpful from the time of our arrival till the time we left Ciaran is a local man of caherciveen. As we were on a leisure holiday Ciaran was willing and able to help us on what to do in the area. We had a continual breakfast each morning with homemade jams which were very tasty. Over all Ciaran could not do anuf to help us.The rooms were clean and the views from house were stunning. A very pleasant stay for me and my family Gary&Linda Mooney

Beautiful house, stunning location, gracious host. I contacted Ciarán shortly before the August Bank Holiday weekend in 2016. I then landed, as his first Airbnb guests, with 2 Adults, 2 kids under 10, and a 1 year old rescue dog we’d had for about 8 weeks. The house is beautiful, the views stunning, the bedrooms clean, comfortable, much bigger than my one at home, with views of the sea. As for the man himself, Ciarán is a great guy. From the moment we arrived everything went smoothly. We received a warm welcome, even the dog, and I was delighted when he spoke to the kids as equals. Ciarán had great advice on where to eat, where to explore and where to kayak. He has encyclopedic knowledge of the history of the area. There can’t be many places in Ireland where your breakfast includes home made bread, jam, home grown fruit and grapes from the garden. Would I go back? Yes. If I’m ever staying in the area again it would be with Ciarán. Would I recommend him to others? Yes, without hesitation.
